I fail to find the part where Obama attacked Jesus.
Obama spoke a day after meeting with Muslim leaders, in what participants said was his first roundtable with a Muslim-only group since taking office. The Muslim leaders argued that their community has faced unfair scrutiny in the wake of terrorist attacks overseas. Although the White House released only a broad description of the meetingwhich touched on issues including racial profilingparticipants said it gave them a chance to express their concerns directly to the president. How about that?
I do too, and the headliner of this thread is a bit over the top.
It would be better suited to the National Enquirer or The Globe
I think what flameboy said at the NPBreakfast was a type of trolling & flamer of the highest order in national & worldwide news.
But never fear this type of mentality will eventually come crashing down on him.
It is up to us to maintain prayerful vigilance and pray for our country as we go thru these difficult times.
Remember-nothing is engraved in stone , things will change and this is only a temporary situation albeit a prolonged one.
Yes, of course he just said that terrible acts or whatever, have been done “in the name of Christ”. So you are entirely correct.
I’ve always said that the liberal dictum is “Tu quoque shall be the whole of the law”. Of course, that refers to the rhetorical device of “You too,” and this was what he was using. It’s a tactic of leveling. Everybody’s the same. They’re cutting heads off? You cut heads off too! Don’t complain.
He did attack Christ at that breakfast. He said Christianity advocated enslaving black people. I am not so sure that people justified slavery in the name of Christ. He deliberately mislead the group about the motives of the Crusades. He also said that the South employed Jim Crow Laws in the name of Christ. All of these are deliberately misleading, to make a the religiously ignorant believe it is in the Bible.
However, we can go a step further. He quoted passages from the Torah, Bible and Quran to make it appear that both books preach similar messages.
Torah: Love they neighbor as you love thyself.
Bible: Put on love which bind everything in perfect harmony.
Quran: None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.
What he failed to mention is the muslimes do not consider the infidel their brothers.
Perhaps he wasn’t attacking Christ. He was certainly mocking Christians and therefore Jesus Christ.
It obviously was tacit rather than explicit, but the claim that Jesus church is as immoral (by its own lights) as ISIS is (by Christian lights) boils down to an attack on Jesus.Acts Chapter 9
- And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
- And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
- And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
- And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
- And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
- And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
