The U.S. Armys preparatory course for the next Ranger School cycle ended with 5 out of 26 women completing the course. All were officers.
Out of 122 soldiers to start the course, 48 percent passed. There were 43 male dropouts in addition to the 21 women, Army Times reported Wednesday.

but for the sake of argument, it the men are in combat because they are "men"...can we say that mothers ALWAYS get custody because they are the "women"....
if men can do certain things better, which I believe they can, then women can too...we all have our roles...
Ok, they passed a prep course. Kudos.
It’s not passing the actual course.
At hte same time over 80% of women failed the prep course. It’s not surprising even though I am sure they did their best. A lot of guys can’t pass the prep course. They don’t get articles written about their best attempts.
What was the hardest factor? My friends that have gone said the lack of sleep really sucked.
Lets see 80% of the women failed vs 33% of the men.....
Just hope nobody posts any pictures of the female selectees...
My son is currently an army ranger. He told me that last year the army had a female Olympic athlete try the course with the team of guys. They had exactly the same things as they asked the guys to do. She lasted two days and said no woman should ever be subjected to that and in her opinion no woman would ever be able to actually complete the course at the same level of difficulty as what they have the men do.
I’ve had it. It was all battered up. So it tasted like a chewy chicken tender.
I think eating snake would be the least of the worries. I wouldn’t have made it through the first day.
Sorry, that is apples and oranges. Men waging war has nothing to do with women getting custody of children. I think you just proved the reason why women shouldn't be in combat.
I was a sprinter and hurdler in college. More of a hurdler than sprinter. I usually did not ever compete in the sprints tho I did win one meet when the coach kept our best sprinter out.
Despite that, I could run faster than the women’s world record.
Aw Great. :-(
They didn’t have a prep course in my day. (unless you count Jump School)
I can’t imagine going through Ranger School with a female, although I guess if you go through it in winter like I did, Sharing some body heat to stay warm with a female Ranger Buddy could be less weird than with a male one.
Hell, most men don't complete the course. Graduation rates historically hover between 20- 50%. This whole female Ranger Kabuki dance is pre-set with lowered standards to ensure that a few females get tabbed. There are already a platoon of female staff officers inserted into the process to assure success. The whole program is designed to further feminize our combat arms branches. The senior Army "leadership" is fully on board and stacking the deck at the peril of combat readiness and unit cohesion. General Odierno (non Ranger) is pushing it as I'm sure he's getting his marching orders from the feminazi, homo infested DoD and White Hut, including the puppet General Dempsey, another non Ranger pogue.
There are a hell of alot of good men who either failed to graduate from this grueling course or never had the chance to secure a school quota to even attend. I'm ashamed for them and anyone who has earned the Ranger tab up to this point.

Heard this years ago that, given a random sample of 100 men and 100 women who passed a military entrance physical, that the ten strongest women are only as strong as the ten weakest men.
Food for thought?
Are there affirmative action standards on the battlefield?
I am not a vet (worked with them at a VA), but I am curious.
Every now and then a girl will surprise you but mainly because you are assuming they are really bad.
Back in the 60s I rode a bus from Florida to the North Carolina mountains to work at a Summer retreat. In an odd coincidence there happened to be a girl on the same bus going to the same place.
She was a strikingly beautiful natural blonde who grew up with six sisters on a Florida farm.
A few days after we got to the retreat we were hiking up a nearby mountain. I had told her I was a very fast runner. Along a stretch of deserted pavement, she challenged me to a race.
I thought to myself that I would just stride along beside her and pass her near the finish. To my surprise, she took off like a jackrabbit and I had to run as fast as I could to catch and pass her. She was probably a world class sprinter but still, if I had taken the race seriously, I could have beaten her fairly easily.
And the way the system works that means that two enlisted men have lost an opportunity to go to Ranger School. It’s interesting that the gals can make it through Ranger School but we still can’t integrate them onto NCAA male teams of any sort.
That was my first thought as well: there is some hard charging E-4 at Fort Bragg, Drum, Campbell, etc. who won’t be getting a chance at Ranger School. Sad.
Thank you, sir, for your outstanding service and taking all the crap that went along with it.
Finish them off with a hatchet :-)

The time, effort and money going to PC bull crap weakens our nation. The lack of focus it creates weakens our nation.

All part of the master plan, my FRiend.
Enough to fill the training staff and permanently alter the Ranger Course for increasing the female graduation rate.
