Learned from reading this thread that Bellasario wasn't running the show any more...which explains a lot that's been happening script-wise on NCIS.

In this most recent episode, Gibbs was not acting like Gibbs and was saying things Gibbs would never say...and it was very noticeable.

Yep! And, Harmon is also exec producer of NCIS-LA and NCIS- NO. They’ve all become political football shows. Not that I really like NCIS-NO, but Scott Bakula sucks in his role.
