Both quarterbacks have won four super bowls with their teams. Who's the greatest quarterback of all time? Joe Montana or Tom Brady?

Most overrated QB in NFL history. His career was made on 1 game.

Threw more picks than TD’s.

Super Bowl wins are not the only criterion for greatness.

so agree. Most fans don’t realize that rules of the game have changed so much in 35 to 40 years beginning with Mel Blount rule in 1978. I agree with your pick as Johnny U could have played in todays NFL but Tom Brady would have never been able to before 1978

I’ll say Brady. Joe was more of a system QB. No doubt both are two of the best.

After that, Joe Namath. If he hadn’t hurt his knee, I believe he would be in the discussion too.

It’s gotta be Brady. Tied for the wins, more trips to it, more TDs in it. And he ain’t done yet.

Anyone who says that doesn't know Jack about Tom Brady, the guy's been told all his life he can't do it, and he has shown them every time, he would have adapted himself if need be to play in that era.

Neither. It was Morley Drury, quarterback for the USC Trojans 1925-1927.

You got to remeember the rules for DB chagned in 1978 where they could hit a receiver all the way down field until ball was in air when it changed in 1978 to 5 yard rule(Mel Blount rule). That opened the game for the passing game and chagned it dramtically.. Also, the blocking for offesnive lineman has become more liberal over time so there no way in hell even to ask that question.

I will say maybe Joe’s greatest game may have been the 79 Cotton Bowl.

Bart Starr went an entire season with only 3 interceptions.

You would get 3, throwing perfect passes. Some would bounce off etc.

4-2 definitely beats 4-0. Brady and the Pats made it to the Super bowl 6 times, not 4.

I couldn’t have said it better!

Imagine if Brady had all of the people that Montana had.

....Or imagine if Brady would have had Emmitt Smith, Jay Novaceck, Michael Irvin, that early/mid 90s Cowboys offensive line, and their Defense.

Brady has been the anchor of all of their great teams. As you said, aside from a die hard patriots fan, you couldn’t name any of their offensive players over time.
