Most overrated QB in NFL history. His career was made on 1 game.

Threw more picks than TD’s.

Interesting thing about Joe Namath:

In one of his books, John Madden said Namath was the QB who always scared him the most when he was putting together a game plan as the Raiders coach.

I'm not a big fan of Joe Namath, but his career was more than just one game. There's no question that his career was cut short by injuries, and his 1967 season (at the young age of 24) offered a glimpse of just how good he was. He passed for over 4,000 that year -- in an era when Hall of Famers passed for 3,000 yards in their best seasons. Heck -- there were only seven QBs in the entire NFL that year who passed for 2,000 yards.

It was twelve years before another QB reached the 4,000-yard mark ... and that was Dan Fouts in 1979, after the NFL season had been extended from 14 to 16 games.
