Something about a nearby thread made me think of it.

I saw the original band many times in Florida, including the Lakeland, FL show that was the second from the last show before the plans crash.
I miss those unapologetically southern bands.

here’s one as well. if i could play guitar i don’t think i could do it in front of all that t and a.
That was with a two guitar attack. No Ed king or Steve Gaines.
Love the Lynyrd Skynyrd band. Saw them and Charlie Daniels when Hannity was having the Freedom concerts. It was fun!
Saw those guys from right on the wall at Freedom Hall in Louisville in about ‘76. Unbelievable.
I had seen them at Louisville Gardens downtown a year or two previous, with Blue Oyster Cult warming up. LS were falling down drunk, drinking Black Jack from the bottle drunk, fighting with each other on stage. It was comical.
The later show more than made up for it.
We the People
One of the great garage bands to come out of Central Florida in the 60s. Used to see these guys play at the Winter Park Youth Center. They came within inches of the big time.
