Skipping to the end:
Consider, if you will, what happens to a person who suggests that Sarah Palin is anything other than saintly. Right off the bat, they are accused of disliking America or Alaska or conservatives or mothers or the working class or even women in general and then they are informed that their hatred is showing. Next, their motives are questioned and their supposedly secret agenda is exposed for the world to see, for no right-thinking person could dislike Palin on the merits, natch. I hope you enjoy your elite cocktail parties, the apologists will say, and then they will huffily tell you that they hope signaling that you are one of them was worth it. And finally as is the case when one expresses disapproval of other cult figures, such as President Obama, Ron Paul, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and Paul Krugman it is presumed that all animadversion must be motivated by envy or by snobbery or by secret admiration, and that it can therefore be safely ignored. What have you done, they will ask, that compares to my paragon of virtue? All told, its really quite pathetic.
Having been mercilessly and unjustly pilloried by the media throughout the 2008 campaign, Sarah Palin had a clear choice in its aftermath: She could sober up and prove the buggers wrong, or she could collapse into ignominious pasquinade. Sadly, she chose the latter. The rest of us should choose to move on.

I would like to see Sarah win. I just don’t think she can. Too bad you cant handle reality.
First of all, I grew up near Bemidji, not on the Iron Range (though I was born there), but I didn’t meant politically anyway. I meant in terms of the MSM making fun of her accent, being a “hockey mom,” snowmobiling, etc. Basically, calling them northern rednecks. That definitely bothered me a lot, so I wanted to be clear that I’m not coming from the coastal elitist “look at these rubes” mindset.
Politically, I agree Minnesota is pretty far off from Alaska, though as the old dyed-in-the-wool union Democrats start to die off, that will hopefully change.
You can't handle the reality of owning what you vote for.
1) you’re a masochist
2) I have more issues with Palin now than in 2008 when she made my eyes tear up
3) National Review are snobby beltway sock cap types who always hated her....they suck ...they ...not their founder.....are the enemy same as Dems
” When you vote for left-leaning Republicans, you make the left more powerful in BOTH parties”
Never heard this explained better, or with such brevity.
” National Review are snobby beltway sock cap types who always hated her....they suck ...they ...not their founder.....are the enemy same as Dems”
I started reading NR in 1968 (age 14). It had brilliant contributors, and a conservative philosophy. I quit reading it around 10 years ago. Today, I would use it for toilet paper.
IT is Tough on the whole family. We should be so fortunate as to have her willing to take on the candidacy for U.S. Presidency again. The republicans have no one else ... perhaps Scott Walker, that is strong enough to win. It takes fortitude, strength, clear thinking and dedication to hold to our United States Constitution in these times of disdain, for our principles. We are in BIG TROUBLE in our nation now.
We must stand behind our best candidate, and that is SARAH PALIN. mo
God Bless Sarah Palin. Republicans can not take the heat FROM the medias when they are in charge. SAD BUT TRUE!
Explain yourself. What did Reagan “compromise” to make himself palatable to Liberals? One of the biggest landslides in history?
