The new 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel brings a one-of-a-kind off-road design to the full-size truck segment.

“Offering an off-road-style package on the Ram 1500 has been on our to-do list for some time but the right combination didn’t present itself until now,” said Bob Hegbloom, President and CEO — Ram Truck Brand, FCA US LLC. “The Rebel drops right into a core segment of the truck market with unique design cues and can-do attitude backed by Ram Truck engineering.

"You realize that for two years Chrysler has been owned by a private company?"

When did Fiat become a "private" company, instead of a possession of the Eye-talian government?

I actually like the look of this truck, big logos not withstanding, my only option I’d like to see is an offering in black or gray powder coat with raptor in gloss or a contrasting color.

Have you seen the new redesigned 2016 Nissan Titan?

If you like the way a Ford looks, you're gonna love the new Titan.

It isn’t be a REAL pickup truck unless it has 4WD, an 8 foot bed, and a Diesel engine.

At least it ain’t a Toyota.
From a distance all I can read on the flanks is ‘TuRD’.

Dittoes.

I’m in the market for a new truck. But I’ll be danged if I’ll spend $30,000 + for one.

Much less 40 even 50 thousand.

Make mine a 2500, and let me win it in a contest.

Landlord gets a new Dodge truck every 2 years, rode in his last week. The transmission selector is a 2” black dial on the dashboard, looks like the volume knob on my stereo receiver. WTFITS?

Mine folds up. And when I go deer hunting with my 3 large grown sons we fit with legs stretched....with room for one more
And I can and do load large loads in my folded up back seat area. I use it more often than the bed which is reserved for lumber, gravel, large pieces of furniture etc.
I bought mine to use as a large ‘suburban’ which fits the bill just right but also can haul most any thing I need to haul.....plus pull my boat and camper.

I’ve had trucks

And

I’ve had ‘space ship’ trucks

I like both. But as I get older I like the space ship comfort.....now if I can only get the transporter working.

I have a 71 Dodge D100 with the long 8 foot bed and a 2000 F150 four door with the shorter bed.

Older trucks are fun, to a point. But frankly, if I have a physically tough day ahead of me I would rather not be beaten up by a rougher riding (and steering) truck especially in the summer w no A/C.

Call me lazy, call me not a man, whatever.

Yeah. I did a survey for Chrysler. My biggest complaint on my 2014 RAM was that shift knob. But I’ve grown accustomed to it since then. No large shifter in the way when reaching for something. As a shift lever would be electronic and not mechanical anyway, it makes sense to remove the bulk.

If we are going to talk about 14 MPG trucks to compare, then the Raptor, a good off roader in the desert, needs be compared to the rock crawler Ram 2500 Power Wagon which comes with a 11k winch and similar heavy guzzling V-8.

In the case of the Ram it is 6.4-liter OHV 16-valve V-8/410 hp @ 5,600 rpm, 429 lb-ft @ 4,000 rpm. A 34 degree angle of approach and ability to go through 30 inches of water leaves the lower slung desert banger in a parking space for true off road use.

Raptor will eat up southwest desert and Baja roads but if you want a Hulk truck version of a Jeep Rubicon that is about the same in gas guzzling, the Power Wagon is the comparison vehicle to the Raptor.

Well Mr. GG2 still has his 2003 Ram 2500 HD Nebraska Farm Custom 4X4, six speed manual, turbo Cummings diesel. It rocks.
