We should ask Jim Robinson to start a Bread and Circuses category.

Waiting any minute now for Gloria Allred to come out with a “victim” deflated football and hold a phony press conference.

“Honesty is the issue, and this seems to be in short supply in Foxboro.”

What about the report today the balls were not deflated by 2 psi as reported previously as fact?

What about the Colts linebacker saying he only kept the ball as a souviner and had never complained about the pressure as was reported previously as fact?

Seems honesty is in short supply somewhere else?

You have zero proof of anything except that the balls in the Colts game were deflated. Your whole post is simply because you hate the Patriots.

“I am not at all certain about the facts. What were the actual observations and by whom, and under what circumstances that support the assertion that 11 of 12 balls were “significantly” underinflated?

Since the “officials” corrected the situation at half time,

Don’t post as fact when you are not at all certain about the facts.

Lead with ‘IF’.

Actually, there is no proof of that.

I freely admit I don’t have the evidence, and also that I’m pulling for Seattle.

That said, there’s a lot going on here that is highly suspicious, and it’s been my experience that where there’s smoke, there’s fire. And those Pat answers bother me, not just Brady, but Belichek too. And the fact neither of them is calling for a full investigation to clear their names.

Look, we both know the NFL won’t do squat about this, they’re so incompetent they didn’t even know about the Ray Rice video that TMZ was able to find in a few days.

So let’s just watch the Superbowl and enjoy the Seahawks winning.

The NFL has stated in a letter (I thought) that 11 of 12 were deflated. Maybe that was another mistake by the media but I haven’t seen anything to the contrary.

As well as in most of America.

I was surprised last night when Troy Aikman, on ESPN via telephone, basically said - with no hesitation or equivocation - that he thought Brady did it.

Spending any time on this subject indicates why our nation is in such a mess.

The other day, Seahawks lineman Michael Bennett said that the league is doing this to hype the game! I think the Seahawks are just focusing on their own preparation, and are maybe glad that the Patriots are being saddled with this distraction.

“We are not commenting at this time,” said Greg Aiello, the NFL’s senior vice president of communications.

"Honesty is the issue, and this seems to be in short supply in Foxboro."

Really? Point out any one instance... just one... where it has been shown that Bill Belichick or Tom Brady ever lied about anything.

I'll wait right here.

And you'll either supply this "proof" of their "pattern" of "dishonesty," or all you'll have suppllied is a tacit admission that the only place where dishonesty is truly rampant is among the venal, predictable scumbag Patriots Haters here on FR.

I'm waiting...

As Limbaugh said the other day, the press is digging deeper into this than they've done for any of the Obama scandals.

"What a bunch of bullshit."

WOW. I thought swearing was breaking the rules here at FR?

I guess Foxboro has no corner on the dishonesty market after all, huh?

All the Patriots did was to put their cameraman on the sidelines, right out in the open. How is that deceitful? How is that more deceitful than hiding the camera in the stands or in a team Luxury Box?

You have to be able to see all the information and logically process it, not just keep repeating the oft-repeated méme.

This is nothing but the "Palinizing" of another true great because they're so great. You douchebag.

The officials have the original 12 balls. In the 2nd half they substituted in back-up balls that met specification. Supposedly the NFL has all the balls that were used by both clubs.

I also found this:

For all of you who think the Patriots cheated, a reminder: the genesis of this entire “scandal” was ESPN’s story by Chris Mortensen that an intercepted Brady pass led one of the Indy Colts players to believe that the ball was noticeably underinflated. That player then allegedly turned the ball over to the officials for inspection. Mortensen then claimed that the officials found 11 of the 12 Patriot balls to be underinflated.

Problem: Mortensen’s story that 11 of 12 balls were underinflated has proven to be false (CNN interview with Mike Pierra).

Problem: Mortensen’s story that D’Qwell Jackson, who was the Colts linebacker who intercepted Brady’s pass and allegedly said the ball was underinflated has also proven to be false as it has been categorically denied by Jackson himself. Jackson said there was nothing wrong with the ball and he turned it over to Indy personnel only to keep it as a souvenir. (See the ABC story on this)

Problem: as of right now there is still no proof that any football was under inflated,
intentional or otherwise.

I find that very interesting.
