I got my first smart phone. I wanted an android but the face time option in apple 6 sold me with so many family members including the wife having it.
I look forward to AT&T doing what T-Mobil did in enabling wifi calling so if I go overseas I can bypass the networks to call over the Internet.

You can just buy and app and do it now. We used one on IPhones between here and South America on multiple occasions with no issues. Check out “Viber” for IPhone or IPad.

FaceTime has an audio only option, so it is wifi calling, but only to other FaceTime phones. Skype is available as well.
