Cyrus Blacksmith, CEO of Brikk, has anounced the launch of the latest iteration of Lux the iPhone 6 Diamond Select. This smartphone is an evolution of the Lux iPhone 6 that was launched by BRIKK in July. The Lux iPhone 6 Diamond Select is available finished in 24k yellow gold, 24k pink gold, or 950 platinum, and pushes design barriers with addition of up to 12.8 carats of handset diamonds to its enclosure.
The Lux iPhone 6 Diamond Select comes in both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models. The four sides, top, and bottom strip on the back of the phone are completely encrusted in perfect VVS clarity, DE color, conflict-free, natural diamonds. The classic Apple logo on the back of the phone is also completely set in diamonds. On the iPhone 6 model (4.7 inch screen), this customization translates into the addition of 9.24 carats of diamonds added to the frame of the phone. On the iPhone 6 Plus (5.5 inch screen), the weight increases to 12.8 carats.
Prices start at (are you sitting down? Ed.) $42,995 for the standard iPhone 6 Diamond Select. The iPhone 6 Diamond Select Plus is available for $56,995. For an additional $5,000, the Lux iPhone 6 Diamond Select phone can be configured with the same 256 bit hardware encryption technology used on the iPhone 6 Secure.
All models are packaged in a custom fitted, 24k gold plated Zero Halliburton case with carbon fiber and suede leather, user manual, and all standard accessories. Each Lux iPhone 6 Diamond Select phone also comes with a diamond-embedded certificate of authenticity and an exclusive 1-year warranty provided by BRIKK. The Lux iPhone 6 Diamond Select is available at Brikk Authorized Resellers, and through the Brikk website. Interested individuals can also arrange private viewings in Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Hong Kong through Brikks exclusive concierge service.
Envisioned by CEO Cyrus Blacksmith as a luxury technology-driven brand, Brikk is rapidly redefining the meaning of opulence. The Brikk team consists of experts in Industrial Design, Engineering, Physics, Marketing, and Distribution. Brikk is headquartered in Los Angeles, with additional offices located globally.
The phone for dummies.

Ah, a MAPS sufferer. . .
Swordmaker's and Kathy's proposed diagnosis for the new ICD-10 addenda:
90210 iOS Munchausen's Apple-Plexy Syndrome (MAPS), The overwhelming compulsion to post negative, judgmental, aggressive, and false commentary on any website thread related to Apple products wherever found, including phobic reaction to projected Apple user euphoria. First and subsequent encounters.
Nope not my style. Yet I am an Apple fan.
i kind of like the Rose Gold one. . . and even though I have a 15.5 carat solitaire diamond ring I wear every day, that's too much bling with all the diamonds on the phone for me. i wonder if they'll do it sans diamonds? I don't think they can do Rose Gold in 24K. . . 18K maybe. On the other hand, I could get the same effect with 14K gold. Maybe my girlfriend would like it. . . GRIN!
This reminds me of the diamond studded Hermes Birkin purse at 100k or so. A way to show off your money - but with something much easier to lose or get stolen than jewelry attached to the body.
I think the phone is cute but I’d never buy one - it’s just waiting to be stolen.
Do what? I like Apple just fine, I have the iphone 6 plus.
I can’t see spending $42,000 for a bling phone— even if I had so much money that I didn’t know what to do with it.
I have an Apple iPhone piece of jewelry encrusted with Swarovski crystals, hand made, 50% off, Amazon Prime, “Luxury 3D Swarovski Crystal Diamond Butterfly Silver faded to Purple Design Bling Case Cover.” Absolutely beautiful and well worth every penny of $60. Theses phones aren’t even approaching pretty. At least when my husband buys me jewelry I can wear it for years. These phones are obsolete in 3...2...1.... A fool and his money are soon parted.
Sparkly toys for the newly monied. Pointless display of a willingness to spend. The Chinese have the rhinestone clones ready to go...
I can see this for someone that is hard to shop for, but do they offer free upgrade when iphone OS changes.
If not could get expensive
Stainless steel with a rose gold heart would do it for the upper middle class folks. Maybe at $2 K?
OK, you are cured. . . amazing. Fast cure. GRIN! I wouldn't pay that much for a phone you'll be upgrading in two years anyhow! But this is called Ostentations consumption for those who can afford it. As I mentioned in the PING, it's for those who don't mind dropping a couple hundred thou on a car or tens of millions on a yacht. . . not us poor peons who work for a living.
If you had so much money you didn't know what to do with it, it becomes pocket change, and dropping that much is nothing. My girlfriend has a friend who used to be so rich (before her husband got cancer without insurance and they spent it all on medical bills before he died) that she thought nothing of going shopping and dropping $20 grand in an afternoon . . . See a car she liked? Pay for with a credit card, and drive it off the lot. That's the kind of person this is aimed at. Impulse rich.
My girlfriend and I were walking in the mall two days ago and she was looking for a new case for her gold iPhone 6. . . found one she loved in Jaguar pattern crystals for $35. . . but it was only for the iPhone 6plus. They didn't have one for the iPhone 6 in stock. Very disappointed. The kiosk guy says he can't order them. They just come in as they come in. . . he gets a box of them and what he gets is what he gets! RATS!
A little later, at another kiosk, she found a Jaguar one without crystals. . . she got that one. Only $12, but she's happy until the crystal one turns up somewhere.
Well, you could sell it for scrap gold and the diamond value. . . probably about $18,000.
Can I get that for 99 cents if I sign a 3 year contract?
I'd be happy with a fine grain leather with my initials in 10K Rose Gold. . . say for about $120.00
Sure can. . . lemme see. . . Monthly payments will be $1600 including cellular and data service on the carrier of your choice. Interest included.
If you don't pay, our collector Guido comes and collects. He is very persuasive. Very.
I’m quite happy with my zircon encrusted trac fone, thank you.

As you commented to another poster, this is targeted for those that have more money than they can ever spend.
Probably these type of buyers would never consider recycle or scrap value.
Were I ever to be so money rich, I pray I would have more sense, on the other hand who am I to judge.
