Today’s terror attack on Charlie Hedbo, the irreverent French satirical magazine that was one of the few media outlets in France to publish the original “Mohammed cartoons,” is an attempt by Islamic fundamentalists to enforce shari’a worldwide, even on non-Muslims.
We must not let them succeed.
Self-censoring out of fear means self-imposition of shari’a (Islamic law).
Self-censoring out of “respect” (actually just a euphemism for fear) means you are submitting to the terrorists’ worldview.
The way to overcome them in this instance is to overwhelm them with disrespect and mockery.
They can silence one magazine, but they can’t silence the entire Internet.
Every blogger, of every political stripe, be it left, right, and everywhere in between, needs to realize that freedom of speech and freedom of the press are the two keystones of your ideology, whatever it may be. You need to make a stand. You need to make these terrorists lose the ideological battle.
And the way to do that is to republish the Mohammed cartoons yourselves. Today. Right now.
Fill the world with images of Mohammed so that the terrorists realize they can never expunge them all.
But where to get the pictures? Easy.

Makes me more leery of posting some of my stuff. I redid that image with the fuse burning down way back. There were some bad threats [behind the scenes] a few years ago, as I recall.
And why is that great? Atheists who lump Biblical religion together with Islam and the rest are not acting as "brites" but idiots.
False religion can justify committing atrocities due to its corrupt "revelation," as is the case with demon-possessed Muham-ma d, or the medieval church of Rome in making the teaching the supreme law, and hindering the laity from personal reading of Scripture, and subjecting the Bible to serve her (stopping the spread of Islam was right, but not by the church making it a holy war to serve its ecclesiastical end).
Yet atheism can commit atrocities itself, as it lacks any supreme transcendent standard to which it can be held to, and instead whatever seems reasonable to the atheist's idea of what is best can be justified. As history testifies.
To kneel before God is necessary to stand before men, and many in this to be pro-God site do and thus counter false beliefs , and to not do so is to foster another false belief system with its consequences.
