Report: Feds Cut Secret Plea Deal-- Protects Prince Andrew, Other Powerful Politicans From Charges
Radar Online ^

Posted on 01/05/2015 6:27:09 PM PST by drewh

A secret plea deal for Britain’s Prince Andrew’s pal Jeffrey Epstein protected the prince and any other high-powered friends who may have used his alleged sex slaves, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned. Federal prosecutors promised they “will not institute any criminal charges against any potential co-conspirators of Epstein” if the Wall Street money manager pled guilty to two relatively minor state underage sex charges that put him in a local jail for 13 months, the confidential plea agreement obtained by Radar says.

A lawsuit filed by four women, who say federal prosecutors illegally ignored them and kept them in the dark while they negotiated with Epstein, claim Prince Andrew and “many other powerful men” lobbied the U.S. government to go easy on Epstein.

The women want a judge to reject the plea deal that allowed the billionaire to avoid prosecution on federal human trafficking charges that could have carried life sentences. The secret non-prosecution agreement ended FBI and federal grand jury investigations of allegations that Epstein held sex slaves that he loaned to his powerful friends and sexually abused dozens of underage girls. The deal, kept secret until a federal judge allowed it to be used in the women’s lawsuit, promised immunity from federal prosecution to anyone who “knowingly and willingly conspiring with others known and unknown to commit an offense against the United States, that is, to use a facility or means of interstate or foreign commerce to knowingly persuade, induce, or entice minor females to engage in prostitution.”

The women’s complaint withholds the names of some of Epstein’s friends who allegedly engaged his sex slaves, referring them only as “numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known Prime Minister, and other world leaders.” A woman identified only as Jane Doe #3 contends that she was “forced to have sexual relations” with Prince Andrew in London, New York and on Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. If the federal lawsuit is successful, it could mean the plea deal that protects Epstein’s friends from federal charges could be declared voi

"In March 2005, a woman contacted Palm Beach police, concerned that her 14-year-old daughter had been taken to Epstein’s mansion by an older girl and paid $300 after stripping and massaging him.[10] She had undressed but left on her underwear.[23] Police started an 11-month undercover investigation of Epstein, followed by a search of his home. Subsequently, they alleged that Epstein had paid several escorts to perform sexual acts on him. Interviews with five alleged victims and 17 witnesses under oath, phone messages, a high school transcript and other items they found in Epstein's trash and home allegedly showed that some girls were under 18, although some maintained to him at the time that they were of ″proper″ age.[24] A search of Epstein's home found numerous photos of girls throughout the house, some of whom had been interviewed earlier by the police.[23] He had set up a system of young women recruiting other women for his massage services.[10] Two housekeepers stated to the police that Epstein would receive "massages" every day whenever he stayed in Palm Beach.[23] In May 2006, Palm Beach police filed a probable cause affidavit saying that Epstein should be charged with four counts of unlawful sex with minors and one molestation count.[23] His team of lawyers included Gerald B. Lefcourt, Alan Dershowitz and later also Kenneth Starr.[10] Epstein passed a lie detector test in which he was asked whether he knew of the under-age status of the girls -- though lie detector tests are not based on sound scientific principles.[25][26] Instead of following the recommendation of the police, the prosecutors considered the evidence weak[25] and presented it to a grand jury, an uncommon procedure in non-capital cases. Former chief of Palm Beach police Michael Reiter later wrote to State Attorney Barry Krischer to complain of the state's "highly unusual" conduct and asked him to remove himself from the case.[10] The grand jury returned only a single charge of felony solicitation of prostitution,[27] to which Epstein pleaded not guilty in August 2006.[28] In June 2008, after pleading to a single state charge of soliciting prostitution, Epstein began serving an 18-month sentence. He served 13 months in jail of his 18-month sentence for soliciting an underage girl for prostitution. He is a registered sex offender.[4][29] After the accusations became public, several parties returned donations they had received from Epstein, including Eliot L. Spitzer, Bill Richardson,[13] and the Palm Beach Police Department.[24] Harvard announced that it would not return any money.[13] On June 18, 2010, Epstein's former butler, Alfredo Rodriguez, was sentenced to 18 months in jail for trying to sell a journal that he said recorded Epstein's activities. Special Agent Christina Pryor reviewed the material and agreed it was information "that would have been extremely useful in investigating and prosecuting the case, including names and contact information of material witnesses and additional victims."[30][31]

Civil lawsuits[edit]

On February 6, 2008, an anonymous Virginia woman filed a $50 million civil lawsuit[32] in federal court against Epstein, alleging that when she was a 16-year-old minor in 2004-2005, she was “recruited to give Epstein a massage.” After being brought to his Palm Beach mansion, she claims that he exposed himself and had sexual intercourse with her, and paid her $200 immediately afterward.[27] A similar $50 million suit was filed by a different woman in March 2008 who was represented by the same lawyer.[33] Several of these lawsuits were dismissed and all other lawsuits were settled out of court.[34] He has so far made 17 out-of-court settlements, and some cases are ongoing.[35] A December 30, 2014 filing in a federal civil suit in Florida against the USA for violations of the Crime Victims’ Rights Act in agreeing to the 2008 plea, accuses Alan Dershowitz, a lawyer who represented Epstein in his 2008 plea deal, of sexually abusing a minor provided by Epstein. Prince Andrew is also alleged to have had sex with underage girls provided by Epstein. Both have denied the charges.[36]

Eric Holder’s saga of corruption continues.

Being an Obama-ite, I am sure he is holding information about Bubba to possibly use later against Hitlery.

And that's the Chicago way....

Didn’t Epstein fly Bill Clinton around once in a while?

Yes. Clinton also was given about 25 slave phone numbers. Elizabeth (fauxahontas) Warren would have the most to gain from this since they both (Hillary) may try to run.

The UK Daily Mail Online reports that the victim who brought the suit stated Epstein had secret cameras in the walls of these rooms, soooo definitely he could blackmail people in high positions. The Daily Mail Online listed high profile people and showed names, like Clinton, Prince Andrew, etc. I bet Epstein is busy burning his stash of film.

Yes, and it was on the radio this afternoon that he had emails from Epstein and also on Epstein's computer were about 21 different phone numbers for Clinton. So they can't let him be implicated.

I first read about this on FR last night. When MSNBC reported on the story this morning, they named Epstein and Dersowitz, but Bill Clinton was conspicuously not mentioned. LOL! They still have their kneepads on for America's first black president.

The real question is what prominent media personalities were involved.

Although I’m not sure that I fully believe the story. Didn’t Prince Andrew’s tastes run in other directions? I thought I remembered a story about him being a close friend to one of his shipmates at one point.

“Why would Epstein use under aged girls unless he intended to blackmail? They are no more attractive than of age women.”

I think it was via our talk show host who knows how to smoke out all the news that's fit to say with one's FCC license and all. I was only half listening as usual.

He did say Dershowitz got really hot about it, being implicated. He was the lawyer who defended Epstein, allegedly (there I wasn't sure).

Birds of a feather, it looks like a duck though lol.
