The California Department of Motor Vehicles is training some 900 new employees and opening four new license processing centers to deal with the expected onslaught of undocumented immigrants who will be eligible for a drivers license this new year.
Starting Friday, under a new law requiring the California DMV to provide illegal immigrants drivers licenses, the state DMV is bracing for the newly eligible applicants.

And then they’ll suck CA’s budget dry ... and of course then taxes will increase ....
I’ve heard that these illegal.alien licenses are supposed to have an indicator on them that this is just a license to drive a Car, and not an official ID. We will see how this works out. Since a drivers license has evolved into most people’s government approved ID, how can anyone prove citizenship or legal status with a license anymore? Most Americans do not have a passport.

In order to get an approved ID driver’s license you have to show proof of residency. Many states already comply. All will have to comply by 2016.
See? There they are, adding to our economy right before our eyes. If we only imported 100 million illegals, we’d all be rich. Compared to them, that is.
Wann'a know why the Tommy gun is illegal ?
Gott’a have a birth certificate in Pennsyvania.
Motor Voter, baby!
The Clinton Crime Family was ahead of the curve back in 93 laying the groundwork for this stuff.
That is the way the libs think. A lot of 2014 GDP was gov’t spending, especially on healthcare.
“Gotta have a birth certificate in Pennsyvania.”
Florida requires BC or Passport.
If I was a neighboring state governor, I would revoke all reciprocity laws with California(North Mexico). Just because the moonbats there want to be a 3rd world country, doesn’t mean it should affect everyone.
If just the Californicate DmV needs 900 (!!!) more clerks just to process these, can you imagine how many millions of foreigners obammy’s flooding us with? Staggering! (Ps: they’re not all from Mexico either - the islamonazis are rushing in - and are already participating in street riots and doing college campus hate speeches against christians and jews. Just wait when they get their forces built up further here!)

“”Florida requires BC or Passport.””
BC in GA and probably passport is acceptable also.
When we came to GA from CA eight years ago, my BC from NY State had a seal but my husband’s BC from CA did not - same with our daughter’s. They both had to request ones with seals. Surprised my husband as his was perfectly ok with the Air Force in the fifties.
Are any of the 900 new hires U.S. citizens?
Let me guess - the new workers have to be bilingual. In America.

Heaven forbid that they would hire new employees to cut down the lines and long wait times for legal US citizens at the DMV prior to this.
What will be the design of the new CA licenses? There were several changes over the last few months. Will licenses where legal status is not established state that “Federal limits apply” and show “DP”, or Driving Privileges only, instead of “DL”? What documents are acceptable to establish legal status?
99% of those who qualify are not newbies who arrived yesterday. They live here, work here, have kids in the schools, use our health care system, and drive here now, all without having an authentic diver's license. Why be subject to any test, written or physical? Why buy insurance when for the last decade, being stopped without a license involves a fine which never gets paid? If there is an injury accident requiring a CHP report, so what? No incarceration and certainly, no deportation.
As for voting, they don't get paid to vote, they are not fearful of any change in California politics which is 70-80% left so 'what difference would it make?'
Bottom line, CA law generally applies only to its legal residents so becoming 'legal' is just a burden which yields few benefits if any.
My thoughts exactly. I remember spending hours in DMV dealing with the most rude, uneducated “public servants”.
