Thought someone out there might enjoy. Blind Faith was a group that included Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood. I think all the greatest bands came from that era.

If you've not already seen it, you'll have never seen/heard it quite like this before:

Ode to Joy   (classical flash mob in Spain)

(have tissue handy :)

Well I am not and never have been a music snob. If I like it, I listen to it. I never cared if it was the “in” thing or even “edgy” or would piss off my parents.

Hell I even admit to liking some of Barry Manilow’s songs.

And I LOVE bagpipes and drums.

I would probably horrify people if I posted what songs I have on my mp3 player.

Hopefully Pat and Lyle get back together this year finally, after listening to the last few Pat albums, he’s lost without Lyle.

Interesting.

I haven't listened to Pat recently.

I'm more up on his '70s and '80s stuff.

To me, it seems like Mays is even more abstract and ethereal than Metheny is. Perhaps it is more accurate to say that Mays is the "grounded" one. If so, that's really something.

I may have said this before here, but I saw Pat Matheny back when no one knew who he was. In 1972 or so, when he was touring with Gary Burton. I saw them in Utica NY; I was a senior in high school. I remember thinking "who is that amazing guitar player?" I didn't learn until just recently (while looking up Gary Burton on Google) that that amazing guitar player was Pat Metheny when he was about 19 years old.

Nope, Virginia Beach and Nags Head in the early ‘60’s. That’s where Shag was born! See my post #59.
