Thought someone out there might enjoy. Blind Faith was a group that included Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood. I think all the greatest bands came from that era.
I heard the Rolling Stones on the easy listening station awhile back.
I’m pretty young and I avoid modern “music” like the plague. Classical music is so beautiful. Far more edifying than what the industry puts out today.
Good Stuff
Thanks for the link
Nah, he had money from Cream still I am sure. He just wanted to change things up and play with a different kind of group. I think he was tired of the whole “supergroup” thing, but didn’t have the confidence to go solo yet.
Thanks for straightening that out. I'm a big Clapton fan. I was thinking 'I don't remember that song.'
Nice to have the young enjoy classical music. I was raised on country and rock ... introduced to classical back in college. Had to take a course that included classical music and fell in love with it. I still love country and 60/70’s rock, but my favorite is classical.
And what I remember and miss so very very much
Well, I could understand some cuts, like say “Angie” or “Ruby Tuesday”, but please tell me it wasn’t one of their rockers!
That (Beach shag) is good stuff!
That is a great story, thanks
Not sure, but I think it's their song
Thank you very much for sharing those links.
A few years back on a roadtrip a friend played a “newer” album of Steve’s and I was just taken aback how solid his voice is after all these years. Can’t Find My Way Home is easily in my top 3 of all songs that I listen to when I feel lonely, depressed and need a spiritual push... it’s a very emotionally heavy song for me, and to see and hear Steve play that as a 66 year-old man, and how when he is done he just sort of pauses and looks at the camera in silence and smiles... essencially validating our taking the time to listen... it’s magical.
You know... Jack Bruce left us just a few months back (Whoda thunk Ginger Baker wouldn’t have been first)... it makes you really wonder how much time we all have left.

I knew I was old when at the supply house I acknowledged to the counter man that Led Zeppelin was playing on their radio.
He said, “How the hell do I know that’s before my time”.
Bill Deal & The Rhondels were a beach band that was popular in Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. They got their start in the early ‘60’s and remained popular through the ‘90’s. They had a number of original hits but also incorporated their style in to the music of other artists. They were a local band for me and remain my favorite to this day.
