Ndamukong Suh will pay a steep price for his fancy footwork in Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers.

The NFL has suspended the Lions' defensive tackle for one game for stepping on the leg of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the league announced Monday. Suh will not be available for Sunday's NFC wild card game against the Dallas Cowboys.

This will be a big help for Dallas. His absence will allow Murray, Randle, and Romo to run more freely. Dallas could be in the running for a second playoff game. They are a better team than Detroit anyway.

Oh, & BTW, GO COWBOYS!!!!! !

Is this guy a key player? Being a Cowboys fan, I hope he is.

Yeah, he's a key player. He actually has enough talent to not have to do this garbage. If the Lions beat the Cowboys, and Detroit winds up facing the Packers again, he'll be back. It is too bad the Cowboys get the break.

I think it looks worse in slow motion. I think he’s getting suspended for his past.

Am I correct that this is not the first time he has pulled this stunt.

Murray might go for 200 in this game, Suh was their best run stopper.

that’s a generalization, and even if true, Suh takes it to a whole new low....

I didn't see the game but I've seen the replays of this. 99.9% sure that was on purpose. The first step could have been - could have been - an accident. But from that moment on he knew someone was behind him. He wasn't off balance, he intentionally stepped back again. Punk ought to be kicked out of the NFL for his history and disregard for safety. Disregard? That's too mild, this {expletive} is intentionally trying to hurt other players. Someone ought to end his career. Sad that it would come to that, but I don't see team management or the league doing anything to end the threat. Players ought to take it into their own hands and end it.

Seems like there should be a maximum of three of these type (”player safety violations”) of offenses, and then a full year’s suspension; one more = banned for life.

HIs past played a part, but it was clearly intentional. He tries to make all his thuggery look accidental or incidental, but it’s as shallow as a liberal talking point.

They had a good Big 3 up front. But Fairley is injured, Suh in on his 3rd infraction, and Ansah was just fined for the same thing.

Been a Lions fan for all my life, but Suh is a thug, and I don’t like him even if he does make a difference on their defense. I want to win, but not like that.

And this Cowboys team is very likable, how could anyone root against Romo or Whitten now?

I’m really torn on this. But I do find myself leaning towards rooting for the Cowboys. Great I’ll probably jinx them now.

The only thing I’d be weary of is that Stafford has always played well against them, and Megatron should have a huge game.

Suh should have been ejected, because he was trying to injure Rodgers. Rodgers did his job... and the Pack will have a bye so Aaron can heal...

I want to see an Oakland Tampa Bay super bowl... er wait...those two aren't in it...

Black Monday... 4 coaches fired...so far I heard...

I was watching when it happened. With the first step he sort of rolled forward until his foot was on the turf, and then he quickly stepped back and stepped hight on Aaron’s ankle again.
