I believe that the point is that Candy is a social misfit. To be able to fit in and be accepted by the other journalists in her celestial orbit, she had to throw any and all journalistic ethics out the window and become a slobbering knob snobbler for Obama. I’m not about to embark on an exchange of the niceties and propriety of a failed tactic in dealing with liberals. We have Bush who WOULD NOT answer his critics (that gave us Obama, BTW), we have McCain, we have Romney. All appeasing ‘polite’ politicians with no spine for standing up for right and what matters.

You can only win when it involves something that they can understand. I don’t want to be polite and reasonable now. I’ll try every dirty trick in the book to defeat them. If laughing at that pig helps, I’m all for it.
