Ok I'll start...
1. House/condo
2. Wife/Girlfriend
Sounds like a great plan. Just make sure your wife never finds the keys to the condo!
thanks much, FRiend!
May I shoot you a FReepmail so as to not hijack the thread?

Hey, I’ve already got a house.
Now I just need a man!
Maybe we should talk...
So.....you’re a law man’s kid. I am the product of The Martini Plan. My Dad gave my Mom three martinis and planned for some fun. You shoulda seen his face when he got me as part of the plan. He called me his “Little Martini Mistake”. After me, he wouldn’t let Mom drink anymore.
The source for that question was grad school course in business ethics.
The question was posed by the professor on the first day of class and we had two days to think about it. I was mid-pack and many of the class said make themselves “rich” or world peace or some other pablum.
My answer was calculated for maximum shock value and selflessness
I answered when called upon, “I would execute everyone on death row.” The professor groaned, as did the rest of the class. When queried why I chose that, I said that it was something that I thought needed to be done, it didn’t benefit me directly, was not the universal world peace BS, and it wasn’t make myself rich. I then stated that there are 24 hours in a day and I could make myself king forever at 24:59:55. There was no need to go there first, as I was already king.
I found it an interesting question to ask on a first date, because it told me much about the person without having to ask direct questions to elicit the information I was seeking.
I was responding to the idea that “piytar” was seeking a new mate. This question served me very well over the years while I was a single guy and has served well all to whom I have imparted the reasoning.
BTW, I got an A in the class.
My answers were well reasoned, and while not the ideal (in the professors mind) it was none the less demonstrative of long term thinking and that I had
I saw the “US Navy” thing and that photo and thought it was photo of a gal we know that went into the Navy. She’s a helicoptor crew chief over in Dubai I think right now. She helped bring in the new “advisors” into Iraq a few months ago.
Way too young for me. But cute, smart, brave and patriotic.
I am a soldier’s kid. Dad stayed in Europe after WWII and met mom. They eventually married and years later: Tada!
I can help you with the shy thing...long as you’re conservative and
can laugh. :)
Biden looks a little pleased.
thought it through completely.
The first thing that popped into my head upon reading that was an image of Humbelgunner in a guard tower sniping at bloggers.
Sounds like a neat story. God bless you and your parents.
Interesting response. I am not sure of the reasoning around making selfless choices first, though. Everyone has their standard.
Hit the MEGA lottery
Sounds like a neat story. God bless you and your parents.
