Beverly Johnson: My Daughter Helped Me Go Public About Bill Cosby
People ^ | 12/17/2014 | liz mcneil

Supermodel Beverly Johnson, who came forward last week to claim she was drugged by Bill Cosby, cites her daughter as one of the reasons she finally spoke out.

It was her daughter, Anansa Sims, now 35, who first accompanied her to Cosby's Manhattan brownstone for brunch in the mid '80s, a few days before the comedian invited her back for an alleged audition.

"My daughter loved him," Johnson wrote in Vanity Fair.

It was only recently, after a series of women came forward claiming they had been drugged and assaulted by Cosby, that Johnson, 62, told her daughter she had also been drugged.

"When I called my daughter to tell her, I said, 'Remember when we went to Bill Cosby's house?' " Johnson tells PEOPLE. "And she said, 'Yeah, and I knocked over the orange juice.' 'Well,' I said, 'Bill Cosby drugged me, and I think I'm going to speak out about it.' "

So Steve, what drug takes IMMEDIATE effect from a SMALL DOSE.

THIS IS HER FIRST BIG LIE.

Clear cut and unmistakable.

It fails the simple math test.

"JOHNSON: Well I took a sip and, for me, I immediately felt, um, something strange in my head. Um, and I proceeded to take another sip. And at that moment, um, the room began to spin. I became very woozy. Ah my speech slurred. And I realized that I had been drugged."

ASSUME GHB.

Onset time when taken orally is twenty minutes.

Dosage required is about 3 grams for heavy sedation.

She only took a sip (about 15 grams/15 ml) of a Cappacino that is probablt 180ml (180 grams)

Her sip was probably much smaller. Why, because she knows how caffine affects her so she is seeking to get a low dose of caffine.

So if the drink was laced, the problem is how much does a 'sophisticated' drugger put in the drink?

If he puts enough in so that she gets a 3 gram dose from two sips, then the cup contains a fatal dose of GHB. Bill would be having to call 911 to have her stomach pumped so she doesn't die if she drinks the entire cup.

If he puts in enough so that she gets 3 grams from drinking most of the cup, then two small sips is not enough to knock her out. Her claimed effects will not happen.

The problem is the same pretty much regardless of which drug is selected.

The overwhelming majority of witnesses are not filing lawsuits. The overwhelming majority of witnesses are not seeking damages in court.

If Beverly Johnson had been seeking money, she would have filed a lawsuit.

I have not so far read that Beverly Johnson (who is incidentally the topic of this thread) is filing a lawsuit.

If you have information to support your contention that Beverly Johnson is filing a lawsuit for money, or is extorting BC for money, please feel free to cite.

The only thing that seems remotely relevant is your oblique and weak attempt to joke about BJ’s age in your meme photo (BILL COSBY RAPED ME TOO 100,000 YEARS AGO).

So (please correct me if I mistook your meaning) you hold older women in contempt and believe older women are more inclined to lie for monetary gain, even if the subject of this thread (BJ) is not after monetary gain. You are essentially deriding BJ because she is old and you are implying she is after money, without any citation in support.

Or perhaps you believe that BJ and her daughter are part of a 9 year conspiracy to bring down BJ, and part of the conspiracy was to wait 9 years to bring accusations out? And that BJ has been promised a payoff for her story from the minority of BC accusers who are suing?

Right?

Why was BJ not in the 2005 lawsuit if she is a part of the anti-BC conspiracy? Is it your belief that there are multiple conspiracies against BC, with several years of planning in between them? Or is it your belief that the conspiracies are linked into some kind of anti-BC super-conspiracy, with allegations deviously timed to go off at 9 year intervals against now 77yo BC?

You assume GHB.

How about DMT? Effects begin within 60 seconds.

Even GHB has confusion and memory loss effects. with psychotropic effects such as these, all bets are off concerning a victim’s accuracy of events, including time distortion— at least, were i on the jury.

So much for your clear and simple.

You are a brazen liar.

1) We all know that the women are demanding $100,000,000.

“Alleged Victims Of Sexual Assault Demand $100 Million Fund From Bill Cosby Faces

After the storm of accusations, 3 aggrieved women have come forward and spoken out against Bill Cosby. The three women are being represented by L.A. Attorney Gloria Allred, and she has said that the accusers have demanded that Cosby set up a fund for $100 million for all his alleged victims.”

2) Most of the alleged ‘victims’, and I will use the term loosely, cannot file criminal charges or lawsuits. They have allowed the Statute of Limitations to expire on both available actions.

I think you are confusing method of delivery.

“Inhalation
A standard dose for vaporized DMT is 15–60 mg. In general, this is inhaled in a few successive breaths. The effects last for a short period of time, usually 5 to 15 minutes, dependent on the dose. The onset after inhalation is very fast (less than 45 seconds) and peak effects are reached within a minute. In the 1960s, DMT was known as a “businessman’s trip” in the US because of the relatively short duration (and rapid onset) of action when inhaled.[99]”

Duration of effect does not appear long enough.

i am not attacking you personally, yet you attack me personally. i think you have a personal agenda.

unfortunately that makes debating you tiresome and ultimately pointless. i do not feel any animosity to you but neither do i feel any inclination to respond to someone who calls me out personally.

"So who cares.....? Who should care? and why?"

Because our dumbed down culture has worshipped celebrities for too long and that has always concerned me. I thought Bill Cosby to be a good role model. Yeah, I know, he had little impact, but his show was about family values and decency. If you can't trust a Cosby, then who can you trust, other than yourself and family? It's really disappointing to me if this is true.

She is spreading blatantly the false 1 women in five claim.

Hmmm.

Prison populstion is currently what in this country? One million?

So if this claim is true, we need to be jailing about 28,000,000 people ! JOHNSON: ... I mean, one out of every five women are sexually assaulted in this country....

I think we are going to need a much bigger jail system.

Question is, can we trust Beverly Johnson?

Look at the end of this article. She clearly states that Bill is 'just a means to an end'

Bill is just her 'lightning rod' to push her issue !!!

Asked what she hopes will happen to Cosby now, Johnson said punishing him is "not [her] purpose." Instead, she hopes this national conversation will free other victims of sexual abuse to speak out.

"This is not about Bill Cosby. He is just a lightning rod. And thank you very much, Bill Cosby, for that," Johnson said.

Good article by A. Coulter.

Sorry this column is late. I got raped again on the way home. Twice. I should clarify -- by "raped," I mean that two seductive Barry White songs came on the radio, which, according to the University of Virginia, constitutes rape.

And

Instead, all the hair-on-fire college rape stories have been scams: the Duke lacrosse team's gang-rape of a stripper; Lena Dunham's rape by Oberlin College's "resident Republican," Barry; and Rolling Stone's fraternity gang-rape at UVA. Two of the three were foisted on the public -- and disproved in public -- only in the last few weeks.

“IPO” is a investment term (initial public offering)

As to cosby.....lol...I never watched “fat albert” and never sat through a single one of his various sitcoms.

At times, I did see him when he was a standup comic in his early days and I did not laugh...

I never saw anything good or important about his career and the statement “America’s Dad” is totally new to me...never heard it before. (Must be someone else’s Dad)

And the factual feminist takes the problem back to the source!

The reauthorized 'Violence Against Women Act' was passed 1/22/2013. Does someone have time to check where all this funding is going too?

Published on Dec 15, 2014The recent Rolling Stone story about a gang rape at the University of Virginia has fallen apart. But why was it so easy for so many to believe it? Find out on this episode of the Factual Feminist.

Partial Script:

The recent Rolling Stone story about a gang rape at the University of Virginia has fallen apart. But why was it so easy for so many to believe that nine unnamed male undergraduates were sociopathic monsters?

I think I found the answer:

That's coming up next on the Factual Feminist. For several days many found it plausible that on a Friday night in the fall of 2012 in Charlottesville, Virginia, UVA fraternity members engaged in nightmarish, ritualized three-hour gang rape of one of their classmates. The account included several sadistic details, and was reminiscent of the horrors of Bosnian and Congolese rape camps.

In retrospect, the story should have aroused immediate suspicion. That it was instead widely accepted cries out for explanation.

Here is mine: Since the 1970s many academic feminists have claimed that American women live in a state of siege--constantly harassed, humiliated, and battered by men. Rape, they claimed, is not only pervasive but it is supported and sustained by cultural norms. Thus, the term "rape culture."

This grim worldview had little currency outside esoteric feminist circles--until recently. Public perception began to change around 2010. The term "rape culture" began to find its way into the mainstream. And everywhere we heard that one fifth of college women will be sexually assaulted.

Take a look at this Google graph for searchers of phrase rape culture and the one-in-five statistic. {SHOW IT]

The college rape epidemic meme went viral at the same time as rates of violent crime--including rape--were falling dramatically. New data from the BJS shows that the rate of rape or sexual assault for college women has decreased from about 9 victimizations per 1,000 in 1997 to 6 per 1,000 in 2013—or about 1 in 41 women over the course of 4 years.

What happened in 2010 that precipitated the media blitz?

That year, the Center for Public Integrity, a left-leaning institution that promotes socially conscious investigative journalism, teamed up with reporters at NPR to produce a massive 104 page study describing a hidden rape epidemic on campus. Campus sexual assault is a genuine, serious problem, but this report made it seem like the nation’s colleges officials were coddling the rapists.

According to the report, not only were vast numbers of young women being raped by their male classmates, but when they reported the crime to campus officials they were re-victimized by counselors and deans who “create a hostile environment.”P.8 The report is the worst kind of advocacy research, full of anecdotes and misleading statistics.

It is predicated on the claim that one in five female students can expect to be a victim of rape or attempted rape.

These investigative journalists never thought to investigate what serious researchers and criminologists have exposed as a dubious statistic. The report includes 33 women’s personal stories of campus rape. They are all sad and disturbing, but most are classic he-said-she-said cases that are notoriously difficult to resolve, especially months or years after the event.

The report deplores the fact that when women make complaints they are faced with a “litany of barriers.”But how can barriers be avoided when someone is accusing another of a serious crime?

When the NPR/Public Integrity team confronted the Office of Civil Rights with its findings of rampant sexual violence and university complicity, the new person in charge, Russlyn Ali, assistant secretary of education, promised action. Here she is on NPR on March 5, 2010: "We will use all of the tools at our disposal including ... withholding federal funds ... to ensure that women are free from sexual violence."

The Center for Public Integrity boasted about the impact it was having on its fund-raising materials: Secretary Ali made good on her word.

Here's why Rolling Stone's UVA rape story went viral

Thanks for sharing your childhood and personal feelings of what Cosby meant to you, but what I posted was, “””News breaking out that one of America’s biggest celebrities of the last 50 years, who had the image as “America’s dad” and was a giant among the children of America, is a lifelong serial rapist, is a pretty big story.”””

This developing story will probably get larger, and at some point will probably start people inquiring about the industry that covered for a serial rapist, for 50 years.

” It’s really disappointing to me if this is true”

Well, I’ll give you that.....

The last time and only time I was surprised or disappointed by a stage/screen/tv star was when I learned to my dismay that Rock Hudson ( where the term “a man’s man”) I had apparently misunderstood or misapplied. From there the list grows to dozens if not hundreds of these same sort of revelations nearly every year.

The entire space (entertainment) is really nothing but a huge lie regarding the stage and props and 97.5% of the time the star is a lie as well. (very few exceptions, and perhaps none so I have a 2.5 percent buffer thrown in)

Anyway.....best not to believe any of it, and then you cannot be disappointed.

Oh....so you think he’s the only one apparently.....????

I don’t think a story about numerous gold diggers and another flawed fake Hollywood personality has any newsworthiness.

The longer you live, the more you realize that this is more the norm and not the exception.

Don’t believe anything, and they cannot disappoint you.

It’s unfortunately true that politics is the same.

It’s not what is true or factual, it’s all about what people believe to be true and factual.

Out here in the town of realville, we are just dupes to be sold a image.

If you see it that way, you will never be disappointed again.

The longer I live I will learn to be so ignorant that I will believe that drugging women and being a serial rapist is the norm? “They” can’t disappoint me if I “don’t believe anything”?

All these women are “gold diggers” and the serial rapist is normal” and politicians are the same, and I am disappointed about something?

You really need to come back to reality man, your brain is out there in the ozone, you sound like a young guy with that goofy attempt to play at being what you think is worldly to defend Bill Cosby and mock his victims, I have to assume that you aren’t young, but you sound like a pathetic 16 year old trying to sound sophisticated.
