Any woman who can come up with a photo of herself (or family) with Cosby has an opening for her 15 minutes of fame, and the powers-that-be that want us preoccupied with it will be happy to reward her in seen and unseen ways.
And the same people on Free Republic who have considered the rule of law a “distraction” regarding Obama’s usurpation of our White House will work hard to keep each new story - unsubstantiated as it may be, and even when the claims don’t make sense - in the public’s face. Day after day after day. None of it prosecutable, none of it provable, none of it with credible evidence.
I need to get back on track and just ignore the trolls; maybe then they’ll go away. God knows I’ve got other things I should be doing instead.
You are unfortunately falsely accusing anyone who disagrees with you of having bad motives and motives putting them in league with the very people they actually oppose. You also seem to disregard the First Amendment rights of free speech possessed by the women who are accusing Bill Cosby of rape. Do you want us to understand that you oppose their right of free speech.
Also let me remind you of something I’ve mentioned many times before in the other threads regarding the Bill Cosby rape allegations. In the Seventies I generally respected Bill Cosby for his comedy and his role on I Spy, until my concern was aroused by some of the cocktail waitresses with whom I worked. They also went to work at the Playboy Mansion. Afterwards, some of us were talking about Bill Cosby’s comedy when these gals made some upset faces and made some very disapproving remarks about our interest in Bill Cosby’s comedy. They refused to come out and give any specifics why they disliked Bill Cosby, but they did make it clear the one part of working at the Playboy Mansion was their dislike in being around Bill Cosby when he was hanging around there. In other words, thy made it very clear there was something exceptional and wrong enough to make them particularly uncomfortable in a way different from anyone else at the Playboy Mansion.
Now that was some 35 years ago, and here we are with women and men making the same comments about Bill Cosby putting on a Dr. Jekyll persona performance in public and a Mr. Hyde persona and performance in private. This incudes the trades people over the years who have complained about Bill Cosby treating them and his family with cruelty.
All of this goes far far beyond politics.
I hear ya’.
