A teenager who was bullied by online trolls posted a heartbreaking video on YouTube before killing himself, an inquest heard.
Adam Smith, 19, who had learning difficulties, was bombarded with spiteful remarks and accused of plagiarism over a short story he put on a website.
In response to the vicious bullying, he posted a video on YouTube entitled Im sorry where he apologised for any misunderstanding.
But he was lambasted again by cruel users, who mocked him saying his speech problems were so bad it made them laugh.
Days later he was seen crying as he walked to a railway line near his home, where he was hit by a two-carriage train.

Yeah, me too. A grown man who loves toys for little girls? Doesn’t that deserve a little bullying? At some point, tolerance becomes dangerous.
I can see, understand, and somewhat reciprocate that view.
As a fan of that show, actually. (I blame the kids) :)
I don’t wear shirts at work.
The two are not mutually exclusive.
That said, I really feel for the kid.
There are thousands of these guys out there. It’s a freak show.
Yet, he could write a story, plagiarized or not, post it on-line and upload videos to You-Tube.....................
WHY? Are you a lifeguard or professional wrestler?................
Normally we do not mock the mentally disturbed. However, kids often do not think or lack the experience to recognize mental illness when facing it. That is one reason they can often be cruel.
I was missing the definite article ‘the’ on ‘the shirts’
No. No, it doesn't. No.
Human compassion is being lost, and the world is a far worse place for it.
There are many examples of the wussification of the male in modern society, but I really don’t think a mentally ill person, with speech and other issues being into children’s cartoons and toys is an example of it.
In fact, a requirement of manhood is to leave the boyhood behaviors of mocking those who are different from you and picking on those who are weaker than you behind, and showing those still in that phase that they need to grow up.
It’s too bad that young people can’t just say “ef ‘em” when they are bullied online. Sadly, too many young people think their school days are the high point of their lives. The reality is that once their out of school most of those people will cease to exist for them.
Anyone impacted by internet trolls to the point of suicide must have some mental illness problem(s).
“I don’t wear shirts at work”.
Do you wear blouses? :)
Nothing deserves bullying. Nothing. This is disgusting.
The guy needed some mental help that’s for sure.
I can understand if he was buying Pony toys and reselling them online for a profit, but this dude seemed to really be some sort of fan of this stuff and openly proclaimed it in the one format that begs for public ridicule.
I simply cant blame the peanut gallery for reacting to the absurdity of this guy’s public persona. He didnt know enough to not do it in the first place, or to learn to quit making a public spectacle of yourself when it goes sour. His obvious mental problems finally broke him in the end. It’s very unfortunate. I wonder if he had any real friends or family around to have caught this stuff before it was too late?
