These stories make me sick. It’s been established just about everywhere that a newborn can be left without question at a fire station or hospital.

According to a probable cause statement, Englert told police she was afraid to tell her parents about the pregnancy and she said she discarded the baby in hopes it would die and solve her problems.Remind me again who said he didn't want his daughters burdened with a baby.

Makes me wonder when the man (who turns out to be the grandfather) removed this innocent baby from garbage.. what went through his mind? All I can say is I hope this little one is adopted by great, loving people.

Thank goodness they found the baby in time.

Update: The same day the Kearns mother accused of the crime was in court, the newborn she allegedly tossed in her neighbors trash has been released from the hospital.
Unified Police said the baby girl has improved after not being fed for days after she was born and is now being cared for by the Department of Child and Family Services.
Prayers answered.
