Someday, she WILL be alone and even unhappier than she is today. She needs much grace and pity from our good Lord...and many prayers from everyone else.
WHY don't I really want to pray for her very much? She probably isn't too fond of the Catholic Church either...or is that a GIVEN?
You know, you are probably correct on everything. I thought she was just stupid as the day is long. Under it all she is very unhappy and lonely. There is a lot she needs, but one thing she does not need is an abortion ever.
This kind of logic could easily justify murdering a person like the one who put forth this incredibly idiotic argument.
Just one human life. I stopped her inhaling and destroying billions of bacteria into her lungs everyday. I’m a hero not a murderer!

I think the rash of idiotic arguments on abortion shows they are out of answers and are just saying anything. Problem is not all of us here graduated from public schools recently.
Her argument is self-refuting.
The baby has bacteria in the intestines as well. Kill the baby you kill quite a bit of bacteria already in the baby too.
So her own argument shoots itself dead.

You really can’t blame Amanda Marcotte for being so ignorant.
She was probably absent from kindergarten on the day when the rest of the class learned about “one of these things is not like the others”.
But that’s OK - she should go through a remedial kindergarten class - maybe she’ll pick it up the second time around.
Little known fact. Of the cells in your body, only about 10% carry your DNA. The rest are bacteria and other commensal organisms, mostly intestinal flora.
Speaking as someone with microbiology background, I think she’s more than a little vague on what bacteria look like.

I always thought it was pretty neat.
The reason of course is that most human cells are pretty big, as cells go, whereas most bacteria are really small. Viruses are of course much smaller than that.
Although viruses probably aren’t really “organisms,” and you can have an interesting discussion as to whether they’re even “alive.” Probably not. One of the most fascinating things about viruses is how closely computer and biological viruses parallel each other.
She can take my order of fries now.
Amanda Marcotte would “fight to the death” against people who said that Baby Rhinos or Baby Condors were just bacteria and that we should be able to abort them...
