I always thought it was pretty neat.

The reason of course is that most human cells are pretty big, as cells go, whereas most bacteria are really small. Viruses are of course much smaller than that.

Although viruses probably aren’t really “organisms,” and you can have an interesting discussion as to whether they’re even “alive.” Probably not. One of the most fascinating things about viruses is how closely computer and biological viruses parallel each other.
