The funniest thing about this whole deal is that the liberal execs at Sony put their racist/sexist/etc beliefs in freaking email.
Email. I have had it drummed into my head at work that you don’t put ANYTHING in a work email (or just about any email or web posting) that you don’t want on the side of a public bus. It simply isn’t secure.
So while I feel for the lower level people, the head guys do not have my sympathy.
An awful lot of people post things in these mechanisms which are virtual career killers, and they don't think anything about it. Where I work, the most revealing thing I ever say in email is:"Can I meet with you privately?". That tells the world (if the world overhears) that there is a problem, but nothing more than that needs to written down.
I am recently retired from a career spanning many large corporations. It was my experience that the most upper management levels were computer illiterates. Not only could they not type, they could barely check their own email. After years of riding on others shoulders, their tech skills are poor to nil. They simply have no idea what goes on below and either feel immune to it, or trust it implicitly. Serves them right, IMHO.
The funny thing about those emails was they don’t have much good to say about Obama.
