I think older people may feel (for some reason ) that email is "private" and secure.
A lot of younger people seem to think that Facebook is "invisible".

An awful lot of people post things in these mechanisms which are virtual career killers, and they don't think anything about it. Where I work, the most revealing thing I ever say in email is:"Can I meet with you privately?". That tells the world (if the world overhears) that there is a problem, but nothing more than that needs to written down.

Just remember, when you put it in an email, you’ve “put it in writing”.

Now where the hell are those suppressed IRS emails where the White House was targeting conservative political groups?
