When legislation came before Congress that wouldve banned abortions done because the baby was the wrong gender, pro-choicers fell all over themselves to say that this never happens. However, a number of abortionists and clinic workers have documented incidents where it has.
Sallie Tisdale, a pro-choice clinic worker, said the following in her article in Harpers magazine:
Always couples would abort a girl and keep a boy An 18-year-old woman with three daughters brought her husband to the interview. He glared first at me, then at his wife, as he sank lower and lower in the chair, picking his teeth with a toothpick. He interrupted the conversation with his wife to ask if I could tell whether the baby would be a boy or girl. I told him I could not. Good, he replied in a slow and strangely malevolent voice, because if it was a boy Id wring her neck.

If it never happens, then no women will be affected by this law. no?
exactly
but we know they lie
With so many boys turning into girls anyhow, might as well just stick with the genuine article.
and the war on boys continue.....*sigh*

Chattel....this is what SNAP, WICs, Section 8, EITC are all about. Get some, get some government money. Easy as that.
But, there is a diminishing return built in there. At some point the incremental government benefit doesn’t keep up with the family population, and the cost benefit curve maxes out. Additionally, too many children near the same age above the basic optimum set is a waste and an additional drain. Better to space them out in time. Ergo, the occasional abortion.
Triplets!
Pregnant 18 year old with three children already. Kind of took me aback for a moment.
The weird part is that she was married. Suspect that’s pretty unusual for girls with similar stories.
Same here - I just threw out “triplets!” as an alternative solution hypothetical.
Could be part of the “breed ‘em young” demographic...inner city/mountain folk... /no offense intended
