Top Gear, In the Night Garden and Doctor Who could all feature in a new £2billion theme park alongside characters from Star Trek and Mission: Impossible. The BBC has signed a deal to allow some of its programmes to feature in the new multi-billion pound resort in Kent. Plans are still being drafted for how the theme park will work, but BBC shows and characters could feature in specific lands, games and rides at the London Paramount Entertainment Resort.

Star Trek has to be the most underutilized potential theme park attraction. I went the Star Trek Experience at then then LV Hilton. Would luv to see a Doctor Who attraction at an American park.

I don’t think that too many ordinary folk want to mingle with cosplaying “Trekkies”. It’d be like making a theme park out of Comic-Con.

It would be awesome if they could have a section of the park devoted to Monty Python themed attractions.

As long as there is a track like the one Top Gear has for self drive or a Stig themed character to ride along with plus Doctor Who, I’d love it.

The track will probably be more like the one at Epcot.

I’m a big “trek” fan, but I know what you’re talking about. I’ve also done security at star trek cons. There is a subset of the “trek” community for whom the line separating reality from fantasy is either blurry or nonexistent. I enjoy “trek”, but when the TV/DVD player shuts off, I know it’s 2014 and not 2266 and I gotta go to work tomorrow.
