Now that the midterm elections are finally over, we turn now to the important work in December: list making. What were the biggest stories of 2014? Who were the biggest winners and losers in politics? Which 19 cats best depict the state of budgetary debate in the US?
And of course, we await with bated breath the selection of Time Magazines Person of the Year. Last year the honor went to Pope Francis, but this year the pontiff will find himself eclipsed by, er
Ferguson protesters?

I actually like this idea. Let all the wold know that America is engaged with and looks up to punks and thugs.
Obama and Holder are very much responsible for the looting and rioting. Very much responsible for the hate and racism emanating from Ferguson. But leave it to Not-so-Sharpton for much of the hate and violence that he stirred up in Ferguson.
I saw Time Magazine once , in my aunt’s cats litter box
As much as I hate them, I think an ISIS terrorist should probably be the “Person of the Year”.
Let's see:
They hate America. ✔
They steal. ✔
They are intolerant. ✔
They are destructive. ✔
Yes, could be!
It seems like every year Time chooses as “Person of the Year” whoever or whatever will cause the most outrage, obviously to try to get some free publicity and to get a little boost in their flatlined circulation numbers.
The “Person of the Year” is not meant (necessarily) to be an honor; it’s described by Time as being the person who had the biggest influence on the world “for good or ill.”
I know, I know, yada yada yada.
I'm telling you reality. The "Person of the Year" is a publicity stunt to get Time Magazine talked about once a year, which is all they've got left because otherwise nobody even notices them.
I suggest a name change from Time magazine to Crime magazine.
My list of the people most important to 2014:
1. Vlad Putin for his actions.
2. Caliph al Baghdadi for his IS.
3. The Centeral American Kids who came to US
4. The Liberian who brought Ebola to the uSA.
5. Xi, the president of China.
Who will be on the cover next December?
1. President Biden after he pardons Obama
2. President Petraus of the Junta.
3. Prime Minister Fange of the UK
4. Czar Putin after his croanation.
5. King Philip of England (and his Queen, pregnant with number three).
6. Al Baghdadi After the fall of Saudi Arabia.
7. The Emperor of Japan after defeating the Chinese Navy.
Protesters uh...no. Rioters sure. Perfect for a left wing mag.
Protesters... Rioters....
Same difference as far as I’m concerned.
Perhaps I’m just a stickler for English, but person is a singular noun and the protestors are plural. How can many people be considered for an award given to a person (singular)? Just sayin’
