Protesters enraged by a grand jury's decision not to indict the officer whose chokehold killed Eric Garner took their cause to the New York City streets Wednesday, bringing traffic to a standstill. Hundreds chanted 'I can't breathe' as they marched through Midtown Manhattan or laid their bodies end to end on the city's West Side Highway. The protests, which carried on through to Thursday morning, remained civil and peaceful. They clogged Lincoln Tunnel, staged 'die-ins' in the middle of Grand Central Station and crossed the Brooklyn Bridge on foot as pockets of demonstrators across America's largest metropolis sought to spread their simple message: black lives matter.

I would consider taking a vacation day to protest if I were in the area. This one seems to be an egregious miscarriage of Justice. No, I wouldn’t block the subway access.
They really need to protest in their own neighborhoods where 93% of blacks killed are done so by other blacks.

NY Post: In Resisting Arrest, Garner Was ‘Victim of Himself’

Eric Garner in New York and Michael Brown in Ferguson made bad decisions that eventually cost them their lives, and grand jury members in each case made the right decisions not to indict the police officers whose fatal force resulted in their deaths, the New York Post says in an op-ed piece Thursday.
“Each broke the law petty offenses, to be sure, but sufficient to attract the attention of the police,” writes The Post’s Bob McManus. “And then tragically, stupidly, fatally, inexplicably each fought the law. The law won, of course, as it almost always does.”

This is what happens after 70 years of socialist incrementalism .
This is also stealing thunder from the Brown protests, because many people sympathize upon seeing the video but the former relied on hearsay.
But I am sure you are well aware that the opportunist, Rev Al, will probably be back from Ferguson to ruin, er, run things there.....
You know, I’d like to protest Obama and illegal immigration/amnesty and taxes and a hundred other Federal government abuses of power which I must endure and finance every day...
But some of us work a job.

My cynicism tells me the MB thing was a warm up for this one, where the base would have plenty of time to organize so when THIS decision came down, everything is in place and ready for a seamless transfer.
My ‘suspicions’ were somewhat confirmed a couple of days ago when one of the ‘MB protestors’ in either NY or DC saying something along the lines of they were ‘anxiously awaiting the verdict in NY’.
For their ‘theme’ they probably would have been wiser to wait for the NY decision - which if for nothing else - would have drawn more sympathy for the minuteness of the crime and the fact that a ‘group’ of Police were taking him down.
Just playing ‘Devils Advocate’ but from listening to a whole (big) hatful of people on THIS forum gripe about every time a Cop took a dump and referring to them as JBT’s, these present demonstrations were - in a sense - what they are looking for.
Like the President of Brown University had told A. Carter that he didn’t mind her protesting now and then but PICK a cause.
Too much of this ‘stuff’ and it overloads the average person, much like the Clinton Admin when ‘they’ (WJC) were releasing Negatives about Bill EVERY DAY during his ‘depends on what is is’ days.
Careful now, you be dissin’ Holder’s army.
Im with you on this one - this was wrong on many many levels
Because parasites can’t survive outside the host.
The tactic of blocking major freeways will soon backfire. Commuters could well start plowing into demonstrators. Once one starts, others will follow. Pay-back protest metality by commuters.
Again, more whites blocking traffic than blacks. If an ambulance was rushing to the hospital, the patient would die because of these morons.
