Sounds like a gust of wind triggered a hold.

2 hours and 20 minutes remaining in the launch window today.

I’ll only be able to stay until about 7:35 Eastern. Have to go to work. If it goes after I do, I may have to try to find a YouTube or NASA replay of the launch.

I love this stuff.

It’s sad that we bailed on our space project dreams :-(

We should have put a man on Mars in the 80’s .. just like Von Braun said we could.

Should have permanent stations orbiting Mars, Luna and one at the Earth/Luna Lagrange point.

Should have small permanent colonies by now on Luna and Mars.

Looks like everything is starting to fall apart, now some other issue!

We did 11 moon missions with 6 landings in 9 years.

Definitely disappointing what has happened since.

So it seems. Eh...new vehicle, to be expected.

Although I know it’s not, since it has the latest modern tech inside, I tend to think of Orion as ‘Apollo 2.0’-mostly because of it’s shape.

My students think the boat that caused the first delay should have been sunk.

I can just imagine having a Virginia-class sub out there....

“RSO to LD...we have a boat in the Eastern Range. Notifying the ‘Violation Control Asset’.”

(A couple minutes pass, then an explosion in the distance)

“RSO to LD...range clear...proceed with the count.”

I’m not sure if it was an issue with the Orion stack, but the Delta Heavy has been around for a while!

You can thank Sen. William Proxmire of WI for quashing that progress. What don’t Democrats ruin ?

Well....I’ve violated ‘my’ launch window for today. Got to head to work. Good luck to Orion and NASA.
