Russia has brought in a new that has already gained massive support and acceptance within the Russian realm: pedophiles will be castrated. Here is a video on this whole new development that we should all be supporting:
According to a Russian report:
The Russian parliament has approved a law on pedophilia in a first reading. From now on people found guilty of sex crimes against children under the age of 14 will face chemical castration, while repeat offenders face a life sentence.
According to the new law, the decision on a convict’s obligatory chemical castration will be made through a forensic psychiatrist’s report requested by the court, which may ultimately turn to other medical measures, MP Dmitry Vyatkin explained to Itar-TASS.
“It would be unwise to limit the medical measures to just castration, as in some cases it may not help,” Vyatkin said.
At the same time, some of the convicts may ask for voluntary chemical castration, even if the victim was over 14. This may help them get parole if they are already serving a sentence, or a more lenient sentence if they are still being tried. However, in the latter case the final decision will be up to the court.
The law also banned suspended and deferred sentences for those found guilty of sex crimes against a child under the age of 14. And from now on they can ask for parole only after serving at least 80 per cent of their sentence.
The new law comes amid increased concerns over sexual transgressions against minors in Russian society.

My other beef, is that we don’t have the death penalty for them in America.

That's an easy number to throw out, until you or your son are the 1%. And that's assuming the false accusation rate is that low.

Who said anything about letting them run free. Hit them with long sentences. If it turns out later that they were innocent, then some level of redress is still possible.
Actually, chemical castration is simply the use of anti-androgen drugs to pretty much eliminate libido and ability to perform. One injection every 90 days does the job.
One “treatment” is stopped, the ability to perform returns.
Chemical castration is more accurately called androgren deprivation therapy and is often used in prostate cancer treatment for six months to shrink the prostate prior to surgery or radiation treatment.
Yes, we know how well jail works.
Even serious proson, where they don’t treat them like precious treasures and have high security, do not eliminate the problems of escape.
Not to mention, the punishment is like time-out. It is weak and everyone figures they can handle it, especially since it is pretty nice in there. No real deterrent effect. Too nice.
Just as stringing out alleged death sentences for decades does nothing to deter anyone, when they know it is rare AND they are likely to finally win appeal. It loses any detterent effect by the manner in which it is handled.
As for innocence vs. guilt, I have more confidence now since DNA is involved.
You give a man Estrogen injections, or a woman Testosterone injections. It essentially shuts down your body’s capacity for sexual arousal. It isn’t guaranteed to work against the psychological factor, however, as a person can remember the pleasure felt from the act. The idea, though, is that you cut a person off from feeling aroused long enough so that they can develop affinities for other pleasures than sexual pleasure.
We did have either the death penalty, or physically snipping them off for a time, until that was deemed cruel and unusual.

Jail works fine, when sex offenders are kept there long enough. Most rapists and child molesters get about 8 years and serve even less. Only when they commit murder are they given more time.
