Demonstrators incensed by the grand jury verdict that cleared the white police officer who killed African-American teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, took to the streets of 170 cities in 37 U.S. states for a second night of protests.
Protesters swept through the streets of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, D.C., where they shouted Justice in front of the White House.
Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Oakland and Seattle had some of the largest protests, which, according to police, were mainly peaceful except for a few isolated incidents and arrests.
Large cities across the United States have been on alert for possible disturbances since Monday night, when the grand jury ruled out filing charges against Officer Darren Wilson on the grounds that there was not enough evidence to indict him.
The 28-year-old Wilson fired several shots at the 18-year-old unarmed Brown on Aug. 9.
The shooting sparked a wave of riots, looting and destruction, with businesses being torched, while protesters blocked roads and bridges in major U.S. cities.
More than 2,000 National Guard troops were deployed in Ferguson, where 80 people were arrested on Monday for looting and setting fire to vehicles and shops.
Atlanta police reported that 21 arrests were made on Monday. A few more individuals were taken into custody in New Yorks iconic Times Square when they allegedly hurled paint and other objects at police.
Demonstrators carried placards with slogans such as Do not shoot and Police Brutality Must Stop.
No justice, no peace, a 19-year-old protester told Efe, while another 25-year-old said he did not know Brown personally, but he was sure that he was a good man.

They need to call it what it is. A good excuse for a long overdue (in their eyes) riot.
“...did not know Brown personally, but he was sure that he was a good man.”
I thought he was a YOUTH? a Teenager?
Outrage? Really? We are surrounded by retards!
They didn’t get the lynching they demanded.
“...there was not enough evidence to indict him.”
Well there’s some spin. Disgusting.
agitprop
Are all these cities in Democrat Held Territory ?
Justice has been served. They want a kangaroo court trial and a lynching. And then they will riot and loot and vandalize again.
The real outrage I’m seeing, is people have had it UP TO HERE with the stupidity of people like those in ferguson. Even people who would ordinarily side with the progressive cause. This whole thing doesn’t seem to be unfolding as Well as obama and Holder would like.
Strong arm Robbery and attacking a Police is just fun afternoon out ? Insane
Proving that Ferguson is a totally orchestrated event by the homosexual, drug-addicted, Musloid community-organizer in the White Hut.
BS
Here in flyover country there are no stores being looted, no cars burning, no traffic being stopped, nothing.
Was Michael Brown guilty?
Hands down!
This is the first thing in a long time these POS socialists have had something they could get excited about.
How many cities are there in the USA to put this in perspective? What percentage of people in the USA are “protesting”? How many “protesters” are employed? How many “protesters” are on the dole? How many “protesters” have a criminal record? How many “protesters” did something illegal while “protesting”? How many “protesters” graduated from high school? How many “protesters” ever served in the US military? How many “protesters” pay taxes? How many “protesters” own their house/condo? How many “protesters” donated time or money to a real charity this past year? How many “protesters” attend religious services regularly?
But that doesn’t matter because readers of the Latin Times are supposed to go “oh, I guess I’m outraged”.
How extensive is it? A few dozen protestors in most cases.
