Simply 'lying' just doesn't cover it. "Grubering" adds the necessary ingredient of arrogant, elitist, chutzpah that so dominates progressive thinking.

I still use “Clymer” as a noun, as made famous by George W Bush and Dick Cheney in the 2000 campaign.
W called Adam Clymer, NY Slimes “journalist” a “major league a-hole”, and Dick Cheney replied “Big time”....
So one can be a “clymer” or a “major league clymer” or a “big time clymer”, etc....
Gruber has earned the same, I s’pose. :)
