Mystery lovers will, well, love tonight's film. A vain and eccentric mystery novel writer (Lawrence Olivier) invites his wife's lover (Michael Caine) to participate in a game that will resolve the situation to both of their satisfaction. All is not what it seems, however, in this twist-filled tale that will keep you guessing right up to the last scene. Directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz (Barefoot Contessa, etc.)
In English, with Greek subtitles.

Ping.
I haven’t seen this since it was in theaters, but I thought it was really good.
Er, “Move” that should say the FRiday Night Movie.
Argh, typos will be the death of me.
The first date I ever went on I saw this movie at the Ziegfeld Theater. Hubby saw the play on Broadway.
Great, great movie!
Great movie, and so is the modern version where Caine plays the role of the husband.
That’s pretty cool, actually. The first movie I took a girl to was The Terminator. I guess I never was much of a romantic, LOL.
I haven’t seen the remake, but I’ve heard good things about it.
BTW...
*horse whinnying*
:-)
Glad I could help! :)
Yes, it was pretty cool. The first date hubby and I went on was to “Stop Making Sense” the Talking Heads concert movie.
That was also very cool, it’s a great movie. I usually watch in on New Year’s Eve, it’s a great CD too. No extras, no ads, just THE MOVIE.
Who’d a thunk it?
Loved the white jigsaw puzzle.
OVALTINE!
Michael Caine played the older man part and Jude Law played Caine's old role.
It was pretty good.
One of my favorites! The dialog is sensational.
Thank you!
