Back when I was young and living here 58 years ago, the cold weather and snow usually came either two weeks before or a week after Thanksgiving.

Now, in the midst of immense GLOBAL WARMING, cold weather now hits...two weeks before or a week after Thanksgiving.

I guess sticking with “strong cold front” doesn’t help ratings and is insufficiently scary for those who attempt to make political hay out of weather.

Looks like a “Canadian coldfront” to me.

Surely mankind’s luxurious lifestyle is repsonsible for this invasion.

We should pass a tax.

They invent new labels so you'll think its some new weather phenomenon that's never been experienced before, caused by Global Warming.

“1. NOAA is actually a far-left branch of the US government. Read their home page for a while.
2. They have the same guys working on winter forecasting who were working on the hurricane predictions.”

In addition, NOAA is screwing up the fishing in the Gulf of Mexico with their bogus fish counts and subsequent bag limits that are putting commercial, charter, and recreational fisherman out of commission.

Now it has to have a scary name... Polar Vortex....oooooo-oooo!

Nowadays it's go ‘epic’ or go home. I just wish this had happened before we hit the 2010’s I won't be able to tell grand children about the great winter of ought-whatever. Guess I'll just have to brag about how many polar vortexes I survived.

Just when I develop a sarcastic sense of humor the morons take me seriously.

Wait a minute. Is this a shot of post-Katrina Nawlins?

How will they spin dropping the grid in the northeast U.S. due to fuel starvation (Natural Gas), the replacement for coal generating capacity? Coal deliveries are kept onsite, whereas a pipeline feed is just-in-time delivery; and, the available gas capacity is allocated to residential heating... lots of luck running a furnace without an electrical backup source.

A real winter would be fantastic! Cold, dreary, face-stinging days... I love’em! Musta been an Eskimo in a former life!

“Polar Vortex”, a term made out of thin air for the “Climate Change” crowd.

“Farmers Almanac is predicting a rather nasty winter in my region. They were spot on last year.:

And is exactly why I put up more firewood than last year. Gov’t forecasts are a joke.
