He's a city cop by day - but by night, Detective Jack Mook is working on his toughest case yet.

Mook, a Gulf War veteran who also teaches boxing to Pittsburgh-area kids, fostered two of his young students after learning they were living in abusive conditions with a foster family.

And now after two years, Mook and the boys, 11-year-old Jessee and his 15-year-old brother Josh, have finally become a legal family - after Mook adopted them in September.

It means the bachelor, 45, is now adapting to a new routine of homework and healthy meals.

Tolerance is nice, but a side-effect of widespread homosexuality is the sexualization of totally non-sexual relationships.

This adopting dad is SINGLE and he adopted two boys.

50 years ago this would have been ok, but now very many people would assume or at least suspect that something more than good-hearted Christianity was at work, here.

This guy has a big heart, yes, but that’s not my point —HE HAS LOTS OF GUTS.

I think he’d be a bad “Mook” to go up against if you were breaking the law, too. I hope these boys enjoy the rest of their lives. Sounds like they deserve it.

Are the foster parents in the pokey yet?

I'm curious. Where are their biological parents? Obviously "mom and dad" stayed together for BROTHERS to occur. Perhaps they succumbed to drugs or a car accident.

I wish them ALL well.

There needs to be many more of these positive stories if America is to once again become the shining City on the hill. God bless the three of them.

What prompted this response? Did I miss something in this story?

Why do we have to rely on British newspapers for these kinds of stories...?
