Common Core could be called ObamaEd. It's as much a signature issue as ObamaCare. Indeed, it has the same goals: more government power, more control of individual citizens, more jobs and money under White House control.
In short, Common Core is Obama's baby. A Democrat who opposed Common Core would be accused of stabbing the President in the back.
As a practical political matter, Democrats cannot be against Common Core. And that alone is ample justification for keeping them out of office. Common Core is a nightmare that everyone should be against.
If you don't know how bad it is, check out one or two of these items, then you'll know:

Principals say Common Core tests make little kids vomit, pee their pants Eight New York State principals protested: We know that many children cried during or after testing, and others vomited or lost control of their bowels or bladders. Others simply gave up. One teacher reported that a student kept banging his head on the desk, and wrote, This is too hard, and I cant do this, throughout his test booklet.

Laurie Rogers: Reframing the Common Core DiscussionThe Common Core (CCSS) is a huge problem, to be sure. Its dictatorial, inadequate, experimental, expensive, developmentally inappropriate, politically infused - its nearly everything critics have said it is. But it isnt the worst problem we face. That dishonor goes to The Network, a moniker Ive given to the conglomeration of corporate and government interests (and their allies) that have seized control of Americas classrooms.

The only hope for getting rid of Common Core is that we elect lots of Republicans, Independents, Conservatives, Moderates, everybody but Democrats. We need practical people from left to right who recognize that traditional education is what the country needs now, not a coercive scheme like Common Core.
The phrase "traditional education" refers to what schools do around the world and have always done for thousands of years: reading, writing, arithmetic, and then geography, history, science, literature, etc.
Virtually every private school does what I'm here calling "traditional education." The basic idea is that children learn lots of stuff. Common Core sabotages all normal traditional practices, with the result that children learn little.
It's difficult for the average person to understand that Common Core commissars don't care much about knowledge. But that's what all the statistics suggest. The commissars are focused on social engineering, and on making children cooperative and pliable. There is the problem for Common Core. However slickly packaged, it's just another part of the deliberate dumbing down of America. Democrats have to support Common Core. Ergo, don't support Democrats.

Yes. Asking for a specific explanation clearly demonstrates a lack of interest.
Do you know what Common Core is?
Not too much, thus my question. Kind of elementary there.
Have you read any of this authors past postings.
Naw, he's a self-promoter. Only posts his own stuff.
That pretty much makes him suspect and best shunned.
If you had you would know what Common Core is and you wouldnt have to ask the author to explain himself.
Too bad his little "article" failed to do that, isn't it?
I really think you're drunk.
Indeed. People forget history, I guess. ObamaEd? No.

Yeah, pretty weak.
Guess that’s the best you can do. Try it sober sometime.

The Qatar Foundation International, or QFI, in 2011 partnered with the Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to facilitate matchmaking between classrooms in the U.S. and international schools through something called the Connect All Schools project.
QFI, funded by the Qatari government, explains on its website the initiative was founded in response to Obamas call in his June 2009 speech to the Arab world in Cairo, Egypt, to create a new online network, so a young person in Kansas can communicate instantly with a young person in Cairo.
* QFI relates how more than 100 U.S. schools and organizations have already connected on the interactive website. [* Public and Private schools.]
