The speculation of Negans potential introduction comes on the heels of The Strain actor Kevin Durand allegedly telling reporters that he was approached to play the comic book character.
Walking Dead showrunner Scott Gimple and executive producer Greg Nicotero didnt address the Negan speculation on The Talking Dead, however Gimple did tease that fans can look forward to new threats in the upcoming episodes.
Unfortunately Robert Kirkman shot the fan speculation down on Twitter. "That was NOT Negan at the end of the episode," he tweeted. "Note the face tattoos."
Kirkman's "face tattoo" comment is a reference to one of the men that was held captive in a separate train car. Glenn wanted to set the people in the train car free despite Rick just wanting to kill the Termites and let their group out. Glenn opened up a train car and a man with face tattoos came busting out. The tattooed man was screaming that they were "the same" before a walker attacked him.
It was that tattooed man who had raped Mary and the other women at Terminus before Gareths people managed to take over again.
While Negan may not be part of Season 5 yet, Morgan definitely is. The character, who was last seen acting crazy in the "Clear" episode in Season 3, was shown after the credits aired. He looked at the Terminus sign that Rick had altered before following a different sign into the woods -- a circle with an "X" carved into trees."
The season 5 opener was awesome and lived up to expectations, can't wait til Sunday!
Glad to see Morgan returning and Carol rejoining the group. Beth is still out there somewhere too.
But I'm very heartened by the enduring roll of the kid (Carl?) as he grows into manhood and is given more responsibility, especially the fact that he is trusted with a firearm and even a suppressor. He so far has not only been very responsible in his judicious use of the Beretta but he has also shown to be pretty tactically proficient. This ought to drive the antigun crowd NUCKING FUTS!
I forgot about Beth. hmmmm

Maybe someone can post as a img. This (FR) is the only website on earth that isn’t image friendly.
TWD ping
What is the thought on the symbol that Morgan followed? I do not remember Rick ever carving a symbol in the trees. With his current frame of mind, I do not see it plausible at all that he would let anyone in the group mark their path in case the people from Sanctuary follow them.
In the Talking Dead they said that the guy with the tattoos was the same guy who had been raping Mary. I kind of thought he might be Negan, too, but apparently not.
I agree. I found Carl pretty annoying for the first two seasons, but not anymore. He’s a young warrior, for sure.
Walking Dead ping! Please let me know if you would like on or off The Walking Dead list.
“Glad to see Morgan returning and Carol rejoining the group”
These two, along with Michonne, are the only characters who have survived solo. Imagine how strong a team will be if it had all three.
An industry insider let slip at dinner the other day — crossbow guy will get bit. He’s gone by the end of the season.
Every time I see Morgan I think, “Do you know what Nemesis means.”
It freaked me out the first time I heard him speak outside of an acting role. I didn’t realize he was british.
Lots of brits on the walking dead.
The other Brits are Rick, Maggie, The Governor, and everybody else was in The Wire. Daryl is an honorary Irishman.
I didn't really like him too much and his psycho brother was the pits. But he sorta grew on me last night. But I had a feeling that he was doomed when Rick told him he considered him a brother. A sure signal of impending doom. Kinda like being a red shirt security guy on the original Star Trek. All the red shirts died whenever they were in a specific episode with lines.
It was a good episode. However, is it not absurd to the point of stupidity that they continually fire automatic rifles in full auto mode? Considering they must execute a head shot to kill a walker, then it makes it even more ridiculous they they don’t set their rifles to the semi auto setting.
I guess it’s done for dramatic effect.
