Actually that isn’t true at all, not even close to being true, work it into a conversation loudly at your next cocktail party, and then after you watch everyone’s reactions, then tell them you meant to say poutine, and look at their puzzlement at what that word means.
I don’t know what that symbol you used means.

I’ll never forgive you for taking the Grey Cup in 1995, especially since it was against my Calgary Stampeders. Doug Flutie’s last game as a Stamp.
Okay, I forgive you. Stamps choked anyway...
Cheers,
Jim

I’m willing to forgive Canadians for poutine, since tourtiere (pork pie)is really, really good and cancels out the sin of poutine.
To: SW6906
Something tells me that the Ted Nugent hit song isn’t titled “poutine”.

Ah..you’ve never had a French fry po-boy with roast beef debris gravy, tomato and mayo! This is the French Canadian version of cheese fries-without the chili.

Perhaps some entrepreneur can develop a way to put poutine on a stick and deep fry it so it can be relished at state fairs all across the US.
To: The Great RJ
I'm flummoxed.
What would make poutine better - putting it on a stick or deep frying it?

It has nothing to do with how the French spell his name, or why.
