The guy wearing the red bandanna didnt mess around. Measuring, cutting and hammering away, he made sure the siding was just right for the new house in Oak Cliff.
Nothing like having a seasoned leader on the job.
Former President Jimmy Carter didnt let a little heat and his age (90) get in the way Wednesday morning at the house on Exeter Avenue.

You have expressed some of what I feel for Carter.
So, he’s 90. People don’t usually live very long when they get to be 90.
Funny how I have a warm feeling inside all of a sudden.
You forgot to mention Juan McLame. He used up all his brownie points from Vietnam years and years ago.
He had better one liners about President Ebolas incompetence than Don Rickles
Even Carter is running for the tall grass
No sh$t in heaven as sh$t balls roll down hill! (Hell)
Is that picture taken after he spotted a “killer” rabbit?
Grant is always on any scholar's top five worst president lists. I've seen him at #1 a couple of times.
You're living 50 years in the past. I grew up there. In fact, Tippit was once a neighbor and Oswald lived around the corner from my doctor's office so don't tell me about Oak Cliff. Guess you didn't hear about the White Flight in the 70s when DISD decided they couldn't have black kids going to school in their black neighborhoods and white kids going to school in their white neighborhoods. I wasn't going to be allowed to attend the high school that was 4 houses from my home until my senior year and was going to be bused to a different black school each year before senior year. Our school had one black kid. His daddy was a doctor and had spent time in France. Andre fit in just fine. But then busing began. It was a DISASTER. We got a black assistant principal who was on top of things and tried his best to crack down on the discord. A great guy but strict, which was needed. But it was too much. DISD was using big city buses because there weren't enough school buses. That first year, still in my white middle/upper middle class school (I was on the list for busing starting the next year), there were fights in the halls and problems in the classrooms. They cut down on the 5 minute between classes so that you had to be in your room at 2 minutes. Then they'd pull down those metal gates to block off sections of the hallways. Finally, they'd lock us inside our rooms - yes, there are fire laws today against that. You did not want to be caught in the stairwells. I was once and had a knife pulled on me. Another time the teacher was called out and I was assaulted. Actually, I didn't blame the black kids for acting out because they had been uprooted and thrown into our school for no reason but that some liberal morons wanted desegregation. Dallas schools were "segregated" only because, duuuuh, kids went to their neighborhood school not because they weren't "allowed" to go to other schools. Needless to say, our family, along with thousands of other white families, got the heck outta Dodge in what was called the White Flight. I've driven through the old neighborhood in recent years and it is nothing like it was. My old schools are now 1% white and are ranked dead bottom. Yes, Ms. Massachusetts, this Texas gal knows exactly the make up of the area and I do stand by my statement that Carter might be the only white dude within miles. I'm not the only one who mentioned the same about Oak Cliff on this thread.
I doubt he is any more incompetent at 90 than he was at 50. Once you hit 100%, you can’t get any higher on the incompetence scale. Wait a minute, let me think about that - Obama has gone to levels that even Jimmy didn’t reach.
Thanks for the history.
