AFGE is proud to represent the more than 45,000 Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) who risk their own safety daily to ensure the safety of travelers in our airports. Because of their bravery, countless families travel daily by air without incident. Our union is committed to protecting the pay, benefits, and workplace rights you deserve.
I would think some of the 45,000 Transportation Security Officers,not to mention the other 605,000 AFGE union members would like a little more info.

There’s more risk being a passenger than there is being a TSA agent. Their greatest job risk is getting caught stealing or smuggling drugs.

The only threat to their safety is from pissed off travelers.

now they can use that bravery to risk their own safety daily when they screen Ebola suspects..

I’m sure the Department of Homeland Security (DHS),is getting the word out to the TSA workers on how to protect themselves,oh,wait,the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)is an agency represented by the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE),guess they could enter “ebola” into the DHS website search,might turn up something?
When TSA was first created it was my understanding they would not be unionized. Kind of like when the 1986 amnesty bill was passed it was with the understanding that the border would be closed off. Democrats make promises and break them with impunity while the Republicans back off and do nothing...time and time again. If the Republicans don’t get a spine real soon we can kiss the Republic goodbye.
