All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.
A few items...

I just keep thinking a kitteh will help my BP...
And it sounds good.
My first lol of the day! Thank you for being you—you’re a truly priceless treasure!
You should also thank him for not being me. One me is more than enough. Everyone kind enough to not add to the pile deseerves thanks.
Afternoon. That is, Naptime.
WWI aviator goggles different among nationalities and within nationalities (I love this period of history).
Prices for real WWI aviator's goggles start around $90, but you're really looking at $250 to $350 at a bare minimum. Many 'real WWI aviation goggles' are pre- and post-war motorcycle goggles, or WWI gas goggles.
Classic Goggles sells different high-quality reproductions. The best was the Becker Horex, which is no longer made by Halcyon. If you want Eddfie Rickenbacker's goggles, the closest is the "Aviator" model made by Leon Jeantet (founded in 1880 and a WWI goggle manufacturer).
The guy you want at Classic Goggles is Leon.
Thank you. Now I am an expert!
We could begin work on your graduate degree with photos of some of the different types of WWI goggles issued to aviators, depending on the country . . . but that will have to wait a day or two.
I wonder what it means to be an expert, anyway.
I mean, I know what an ex is, like an ex-wife or an ex-wrestler. And I know that a spurt is a drip under pressure. But I’m lost when I put the two together.
” I mean, I know what an ex is, like an ex-wife or an ex-wrestler. And I know that a spurt is a drip under pressure.”
Simple. If you have an ex wife, you are a “drip” under pressure.
Er...
And the occasional funny photo...
Hey Aardwolf where ever you are now, maybe you should look into this. Seems right up your alley...
Former Lockheed Martin engineer said he spoke with aliens and has pictures to prove it...
LOL!!
That one with the white legs looks dead.
‘e says ‘e’s not dead.
he’s just sleeping or something
I'm now trying to decide between going to bed and having some noodle soup. My last can, I think...But then I ask me if I'm actually hungry or just want to use up more time.
Chest pains have been plaguing me all day, but I've tried to ignore them.
I’m going to have some broccoli when it’s ready. I found it in the drawer of the refrigerator. Tomorrow I’ll go to the gym, even if everything still hurts.
I HAVE to walk tomorrow, but for today, I’m going to go get parallel to the deck. See y’all tomorrow!
