We had a few sub-tropical clouds earlier here near Yosemite/Central Valley...but they cleared out before the eclipse was total. Didn’t you used to live out near here? (i.e. your FR name).

Was out waking the dog in Boston area at 6:30 - clouds and light are it a futile effort.

Was a bit cloudy in CT, thank-you to those who were able to take the picture of the moon early this morning.

I did 3 and a half years at March AFB, and I've been to Yosemite a couple of times.
It's one of the most beautiful National Parks that I've seen, and the first time was during its first snow fall of that year.
So my pen name comes from that vacation and my air traffic controller's operating initials.

Sat out front for a while eating "Cosmic Cupcakes", drinking coffee and watching. What a nice morning!

OK gotcha...I always get “March AFB” (now ARB I guess) and former George AFB (now closed) mixed up! March is the one near Riverside I reckon.

Yeah, it's up on the plateau south of Norton at about 1,500 ft MSL.
I lived in Hemet for a while, and then in base housing west of I-215.
I visited Travis Tower and Beal Tower on that vacation.
I guess that was between 91 and 94, but my visit to Yosemite was not too long after the big rock fall off of one of the larger cliffs east of the creek/ stream in the center of the valley.

Clear, starry night here. Missed the best part caught most of it.

Good catch!
Sunrise/Moonset a few minutes ago here in WNY, but my wife got a few peaks in the clear before 7 AM, said it looked somewhat like your pic

I wonder if there were any night-hikers on the A.T. that didn’t know about it, until they saw it.

It’s still good to watch one of God’s wondrous creations at work.

Enjoy the view, because you should still have about 2 hours of darkness before sunrise, if you can see beyond the city light clutter.

I've been to Montreal from Plattsburgh NY, but not to Toronto.
I don't see any snow on the ground there, yet, but I'm sure it'll be there before the end of the month.
