A link to this thread has been posted on the Ebola Surveillance Thread
(Marburg is one of the other two filovirus families and has similar effects to Ebola).

“Family” should read genera. Technically in the system of binomial nomenclature, the Marburg virus is a different Genus than Ebola, but they are in the same Family (Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species are the technical names for the branches of the identifying tree of taxonomy).

Cant help but to notice a pattern developing here, and Im not even a religious person. Might be a good time to start! lol No time like the present.
But don't try religion. Try God. There's a difference.

But you had the prepositional phrase “of Marburg outbreaks”, so fatality rate is the subject, therefore the verb “varies” as originally used was correct.

Odd how such bad sheeeet comes out of Africa! Not odd at all. That's because humans evolved there, and diseases have had millions of years to evolve right along with us.
To: Army Air Corps
I am not so sure given the high mortality rates cited for the Congo and Angola. We'll see how this latest nastiness plays-out. Well, they won't catch it again...
(sorry, gallows humor).

Yeah, I get that. Even though I felt that bad I was pretty certain I was going to pull through. This winter--maybe not so much.

Watch the masses start screaming for martial law once a few hundred people are infected.Careful, citizen, you are not authorized to speculate on the true purpose behind policy. You are safe. Nothing can possibly go worng wnorg gnowr
(/s as if it is needed)
Seriously, I believe the purpose of the completely bassackwards policy decisions is to get the masses to beg to have their rights stripped from them so they 'feel' safe.
Failing that, to use the outbreak as an 'excuse' anyway.
Hopefully, people will look at the way this is being 'managed' and decide they want different management at the very least and resist any such attempt.

"Didnt the Russians weaponize this for ICBMs?"

This is from the early 90s but still a very scary read.

This whole thing is starting to sound like the second season last episode of the TV show called Millennuim back in the 90s.

Odd how such bad sheeeet comes out of Africa! Think of equatorial areas as having a never-ending "growing season" for evolution (especially of little critters). South America and islands in the Pacific have some great stuff also..

Never knew there was a shotgun with a drum like that. I looked it up a Knoxx Sidewinder Kit 6 or 10 round drum but it has been discontinued. Looks like a formidable weapon that would come in handy for any future civil unrest that may be coming our way on the wings of Ebola/Obola.
To: hulagirl
Yeah I just read a chilling detail of what happens to ones body with the Ebola virus. It attacks connective tissue and internal organs, the spleen itself turns into a large clot, the liver will perish and it’s a domino effect. It would be a horrible death to the patient. The top layers of the tongue would slough off and the esophagus and lining of the throat would slough off and the black vomit would burn everything. Even your eyes would fill with blood causing blindness. God help us all!

But don't try religion. Try God. There's a difference. I don't mean to make light of it but do you realize how many people in America don't know the difference and don't care to know.

Yeah, I do. I was one at one point.
And sadly, even among believers the distinction seems to be lost these days.
