Freepers are the counter culture at this point.
It pains me to agree with that statement.
Boy, does that hurt to admit it. All my life, I have never been or felt counterculture.
But in that flash when I read your post, I felt like I knew how it feels to be counterculture. And I understand that, at least in my case, It is I who have remained somewhat stationary to my values, while the prevailing culture has moved away.
I know that is standard fare as one gets older, but...it is still an odd sensation.
I've been making that same point for over a decade, now.
Isn't it funny how all of the 'counter-culture' hippies of the 60s and 70s have now become the establishment now?

One of my earliest major realizations, after escaping the Democrat Mind Control Plantation, was that the left and right in America had switched positions.
It's the left who are now the ruling establishment, while the right has become the rebels against the status quo.
