The problem with the data in the OP is that it’s essentially describing the conditions where a microbe that has been defined or described as airborne may be transmitted. In other words, the aerosols generated by sneezing are what transmit airborne viruses, bacteria, and fungi already.

The OP is the definition of “airborne transmission” in other words. See here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airborne_disease

Now with all that said, it would appear Ebola cannot be transmitted even in the tiny aerosolized droplets of a sneeze IF indeed its not airborne. The CDC has said it’s not airborne. So assuming they are telling the truth, (which I’ll grant with today’s fedgov who can really trust anything they say) sneezes can’t transmit the virus.

Otherwise the definition of “airborne” has no real meaning.

I would say that the number of health care works that have caught it despite their training and protective garments would tell us that there is definitely some form of transmission that is not understood or being considered. Also this is it even if the protective procedures are not being followed to the letter how much better are they protected compared to the average person oa plane, subway, elevator......

From the CDC: “Ebola has been found in semen for up to three months... People who recover from Ebola are advised to abstain from sex or use condoms for 3 months.”

Or use condoms? The CDC is convinced that even Ebola patients can’t keep it in their pants for three months???

Airborne means the particle is supported by air and it “floats” on the air for “x” distance.

According to the CDC, the Ebola virus isn’t supported by air so doesn’t travel upon the air. HOWEVER, when it is VIOLENTLY EJECTED FROM THE BODY AS IN A COUGH OR SNEEZE, it ejects for a distance, then falls.

Consider a baseball pitcher throwing a baseball. The ball is ejected by force from the pitcher and it is the momentum of the throw that projects the ball a certain distance. The ball is not floating on air - force has ejected it THROUGH the air until the effect of the force is gone and the ball drops to the ground. Ejection of Ebola in liquid through force from the person reacts as the baseball does.
