A woman walked in on her boyfriend having sex with another woman early Tuesday morning and vowed to go home and get a gun, police said.
She made good on her promise, police say, returning to the house where she found her boyfriend and shooting him once in the groin as he sat in a lawn chair in the front yard of a south Wichita house at about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday. The woman, 44, was found and arrested a few minutes later at Lincoln and McLean, Lt. James Espinoza said. The 44-year-old shooting victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was in serious condition late Tuesday morning, Espinoza said.
The suspect went looking for her boyfriend at a house he was remodeling in the 1100 block of South Emporia, Espinoza said. She found him there with another woman, who left after the girlfriend departed.
The victim was talking to two other men when she returned an hour or so later, Espinoza said. She approached the victim and pulled the trigger, but the handgun malfunctioned. She then cleared the gun mechanism and fired again, Espinoza said.
She walked right up on him, Espinoza said. I think there was some disbelief that that was going to happen. The woman was booked on suspicion of aggravated battery and not attempted murder, Espinoza said, because she fired one shot and was aiming specifically at the groin.
The Sedgwick County District Attorneys Office will determine what, if any, charges, will be filed in the case.
Amish?
Hmmm?
And a married woman would have that right?
After she tried to fire the first time, and the gun malfunctioned, you'd think he would figure out at that point she was serious.
On “Two and a Half Men,” Charlie mentioned that his neighbor Rose once super-glued his, ahem, manhood to his leg.
Mabel walks in to her house and catches her husband naked on the couch with the next-door neighbor's wife.
Mabel reaches behind the door and grabs her rifle. She yells, "This is the last time you cheatin' cur. I'm a gonna turn a bull into a steer!"
Her husband jumps up on the coffee table and yells, "Mabel stop! She means nothin' to me! You're the one I love! Please...give me a chance!"
Mabel stops. Looks him in the eyes and says, "Alright. I'll give you a chance. Set 'em a swingin'!"
I heard that story and the way I heard it, it happened in Louisiana and the woman sewed him up in a “new” sheet. The point being that a new sheet wouldn’t rip as he struggled to get out, shereas an old one might.
The odd thing is that the person who told me that story cheated on his wife, and she sued him for bigamy (a crime in TX) and won. She took a lot of his money in court and tied him up for years (he owned an oil business.) Obviously, he learned nothing from relating the story, and he’s just lucky that his wife didn’t do worse to him.
I have no idea whether the story is true, or not.
And a married woman would have that right?

One nad to the other: “We’re not in Kansas anymore”
Probably isn’t, its just another in the long line of publically celebrated female violence stories. When they murder, shoot, burn, beat, hit, and castrate because someone didn’t see what a -treasure- they were, its all good.
Its very similar to moslem honor killings.
Good luck getting a conviction if there are women on the jury who were victims of cheating.
For those who approve of this: what would the female equivalent part blown off be, for a husband catching his wife cheating?
Oh, so you disapprove? Why?
A Carrie Underwood song, with Betty Thomas as the “betrayed” spouse/girlfriend.
EVERY show she was in she shot some guy in the ‘nads.
You would win, back 20 years or more ago, right here in Maine, a woman blasted her husband while he was in the shower, fired 7 rounds, reloaded, fired seven more and if memory serves my dad correctly, reloaded and fired seven more. Jury found her not guilty.
Her defense, ‘he had beat me or made me fear he would beat me’.
Hmmm 44 y.o. In Wichita. gotta wonder if its someone I know. Either party.
It’s acceptable to laugh at males having their genitals brutalized. Especially if he is unfaithful. Go figure so many people get a kick out of. Even here. Personally I find it reprehensible. In regard to your querry of what should beshot off a cheating woman more suitable is a sewing needle and thread. How many will laugh about that?

warning very gruesome

I remember a case from when I lived in Toledo in the 80’s.
Some family there of Middle Eastern origin (there are a lot of them in that area) had arranged a marriage between their pretty young daughter and some guy back in their home country.
Except the girl had grown up an American and wanted no part of an arranged marriage. So she turned 18 and ran off. Ended up shacking up with a boyfriend someplace in Florida.
The family of course became enraged. She had violated some medieval honor code back home. The father met with a hitman and cut a deal to go and kill the daughter and her boyfriend. Since he had befouled the promised bride, the father also wanted the hitman to slice off the boyfriend’s family jewels and bring them back so that they could be given to the family overseas as a peace offering.
Fortunately the hitman turned out to be an undercover cop and they were all taken down. Sensational trial though.
Frankie and Johnny were lovers,
Oh Lordie how they could love...
And the gun went rootie-toot...
He was her man,
But he done her wrong.
It’s a story as old as time and song.
