On Saturday Officer Karl Romero was keeping an eye on surveillance cameras around the station when he spotted something in the sally port. A sally port is a controlled gate or passage in a fortified place.
Romero said what he saw looked like a ghost walking across the lot, right through cages and a gate.
He reported it to his supervisors.
Detectives said there is no way in or out of the secured area without the gates opening and an alarm sounding. Police said they hear strange noises and see unexplained images in the lobby of the building, too.

Was this before or *after* the LSD party?
Looked like something walking all right.
La Llorona!!??
You suspect the surveillance camera was dropping acid?
They should send it to Abby, let her do some enhancment, then facial recognition, mystery solved.
Digital cameras used over and over. Image is last recording of a guy walking through there recorded over.

“Digital cameras used over and over. Image is last recording of a guy walking through there recorded over.”
It doesn’t work that way.
You are thinking video tape...
I think you've got it.
No,the camera operator.Or the film editor.
That’s it.
I think others right that you can’t “burn in” a digital image.
This is Espanola, they’re probably using up their last stock of Betamax tapes.
I am far from an expert, but looking at the footage the “ghost” was recorded on it’s pretty obvious it was recorded on video tape and not digitally...
A decent digital 16 camera system is only about 10 K at best....
I’m surprised they have not upgraded....
The image replayed for the news report may have been on tape, but the officer says he saw it happen “live” on the monitor. Unless the monitor input is somehow taken off the recorder reading the just-recorded tape...
